Yuki Mori is one of the protagonists in Space Battleship Yamato franchise & Space Battleship Yamato 2199.
She is a United Nations Cosmo Force officer aboard the Space Battleship Yamato and the fiancé of Susumu Kodai. Prior to Yamato's mission to the planet Iscander, Mori developed a close relationship with Princess Yurisha Iscandar, an emissary of Iscander. This connection places Mr. Mori at the center of important political developments between Iscandar and the planet Garmillas.

Mori is the daughter of Naoyuki Mori, Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs. In early 2198, while accompanying Princess Yurisha in an underground city on Earth, the car carrying Mori and Yurisha was severely damaged by a possible terrorist bomb. Both women survived, but Mori suffered from amnesia and was unable to recall specific events before the attack. With both her father and her mother dead, Mori was placed under the guardianship of her family friend, Admiral Ryu Hijikata.
Mori worked in the United Nations Cosmo Force Far East District 9 Strategic Division from September 7, 2198 until the launch of Yamato, where she collaborated with Hijikata, Chief Administrative Officer Heikuro Todo, Yamato Commander Admiral Juzo Okita, and others. She was assigned to Headquarters Operations during Operation M, where she reported that another Iskandarian emissary, Princess Sasha Iscander, was approaching Neptune and headed for Mars. Outside of his military service, Mori worked as a teacher of young children.
