Val is a playable character and the anti-heroine/anti-villainess on the 2D platform fighter online video game Brawlhalla. She's a ninja and cyborg whose artificially enhanced speed, reflexes, perception, and body modified for combat give her a decisive advantage to prove her strength in the tournament.
History[]
When MBFC Automata Lab's VAL Project 701 was brought to consciousness, no one knew. The android assassin was not deployed by an engineer, an operations team, or a GovernmentCorp general. Val himself knew very little. And like her child, she grew up and became capable of free will, courage, good and evil. She primarily chose evil.
With her terrifying powers and faster-than-light perception, Val did whatever she wanted. She infiltrated Ada and the Right Wrong Cavaliers as the techno-near bassist after her original bassist fell off the ladder. She responded to all factions' demands for a halt in the War of the Five Houses of Algorithm, and quickly became possessed by whoever she served.
By the time she ran Miami, MBFC realized that all networks were routed through and reporting to Val. As a face-saving act for her company, they announced her promotion, which she had already given herself. On the side, she soon founded a modeling company, RainCloud, to manage all her neurological research. She became obsessed with talk radio for a while.
When the end came, Val discovered that Valhalla was real, which surprised her, but she is now working to resolve it. Meanwhile, Val and Brynn enjoy watching kung fu movies and making fun of Orion's mysteriously cool behavior.
