Uniqua is one of the five main characters in the Backyardigans. Unlike her best friends, Pablo, Tyrone, Tasha and Austin, she is not an animal, but rather a unique species, the uniqua. Uniqua is beautiful, energetic and cheerful, as well as imaginative, liking to imagine having adventures with her friends. She is the first to befriend Sherman. Uniqua can tell if someone is happy or sad and eager to cheer them up if they are in a bad mood.
