Ultraman Regulos is an Ultraman who first appeared as a supporting protagonist in Ultra Galaxy Fight: The Destined Crossroad and the main protagonist in Ultraman Regulos spin-off series. He originally appeared as a silhouetted figure imprisoned by Naraku in Ultra Galaxy Fight: The Absolute Conspiracy. Regulus learned his Cosmo Beast Style from Planet D60, an exoplanet orbiting a star in the constellation Draco.

History[]

One day, Regulos has lost all his memories except his own name, landed on the Planet D60. He was found by Spica, a user of the space martial art Cosmo Beast Style. She introduces him to Master Alude and allows him to stay on the planet to undergo Cosmo Beast Style training while he regains his memories, where he meets his fellow outsider trainee Dias, known as Absolute Diavolo, and meet and become friends. He soon became friendly rivals with Ultraman Leo and L77 star Astra, and started sparring occasionally.

Some time later, planet L77 was destroyed by Alien Magma, and he set his sights on D60 as his next target. Enraged by the loss of his presumed friend and Magma's advances on D60, Regulus engaged Magma Admiral Volcan and was quickly defeated. Shortly thereafter, he poisoned Master Alude to the point where he could no longer perform Cosmo Beast Style. Dissatisfied with Instructor Phoros, who refused to fight back against the magma, Regulos immediately flew away in anger, determined to deal with the magma himself. However, he lost his destination and fell into the ruins of the canyon, where he met the banished Cosmo Beast Fighter Tuburn.

Tuburn had Regulos trained Red Dragon Fist style at night, while continuing normal training during the day. It took me a while before I realized what technique Foros used in his training sessions was that of his older brother Tuburn, and realized what Regulus was doing. The two brothers quarreled so fiercely that it confused Regulus. Learning of his experiences on D60, Regulos retreated to a cave and meditated to communicate with the cosmo beasts and connect with both of their leaders, the Red Dragon and the White Tiger.

Ultimately, one of the Absolutians, Diavolo, after inheriting the Juggernaut Charging Buffalo Fist, killed Alude and took the title of Grand Master himself. Diavolo and the other Absolutians then imprisoned Regulos and chained him to Naraku. They kept him alive to study the nature of Ultras. By doing so, the Absolutians inadvertently avoided Regulos' death at the hands of the Magma Alien, making him a Parallel Isotope of his original self.

Ultra Galaxy Fight: The Absolute Conspiracy[]

During Yullian's imprisonment on Naraku after the Kingdom successfully captured him as part of a plot to take over the Land of Light, and was imprisoned within the dimension for an unknown period of time. After Absolute Tartarus left Naraku through the portal, Yullian followed him for a while, but found Regulos. Regulos was bound with several energy shackles to keep him in place.

Ultra Galaxy Fight: The Destined Crossroad[]

Yullian approached Regulos, who was bound in energy chains, and instantly identified a connection to the Cosmo Beast Style from the unique markings on his arms. Absolute Diavolo then bursts in and interrupts Yullian's healing of Regulos just to mock him.

Astra soon arrives and manages to track down Yullian, but is confronted by Diavolo. When Diavolo tried to kill Yullian, Regulos broke the chains that bound him. Before leaving Regulos to fight Diavolo, Yullian told him not to fight with anger in his heart, reminding him of what his master once told him. Astra and Yullian climbed Eldora Tower, where Astra found her own body as a conduit for Sora to open a rift in her dimension, allowing the two to escape. Diavolo intervened again, but was repulsed by Regulos. Despite all the difficulties, the team was able to leave the kingdom with Yullian and Regulos, and the mission was a success.

After the rescue party managed to escape, they were pursued by the Absolutians and his army to the planet Blizzard, where they were met by a horde of Ultras. Leo, Astra, and Regulos fought Diavolo and overwhelmed him with space martial arts. Regulos unleashed an orb containing the energy of the Cosmo Beast Style Master and gave it to Leo and Astra, who combined their powers to fire a beam that destroyed Diavolo.

At the climax of the battle, Absolute Tartarus overwhelmed Ultraman Zero with his new ability. He decides to unleash the absolute maximum destruction on Earth, but is blocked by Ultraman King's barrier, and the impact creates a wormhole. Ultraman Ribut created his own barrier to protect the other Ultras, but as a result, he and Tartarus fell through a wormhole into the world of Ultraman Trigger.

As the peaceful time passed, Zero continued his training with Regulos to prepare for the coming of the Absolutians and their "lords", but Regulos' status as a Parallel Isotope was taken away from the past, and he became the Ultra he knew many years ago.
