Phin Mason, also known as the Tinkerer, is an antagonist turned anti-heroine in Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales. A close friend of Miles Morales, Phin was transforms herself into the Tinkerer and the leader of the Underground to waging war against Roxxon. She was able to use powerful programmable substances that powered the weapons used by both her and the Underground.
Phin grew up with Miles, and Miles considered her to be like a sister to her. She also has an older brother, Rick Mason. He is one of Miles' childhood friends, works at Roxxon, and was the first Tinkerer before her. Miles and Finn have been inseparable since childhood, but they become estranged when Miles moves to Harlem. Later, Rick's death at the hands of the negligent Roxxon Corporation forces her to lead the Underground for vengeance and wage war on Roxxon, run by Simon Krieger.
