Taiga Saejima is a major protagonists and the recurring character in the Like a Dragon video game franchise. He appears as the main character in Yakuza 4 and Yakuza 5. He also appears as a supporting character in Yakuza 6, Yakuza: Like a Dragon, Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name, and Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth.
Saejima, who killed 18 members of the Ueno Seiwa Clan and survived the death penalty, was given the nickname "18-Counts Saejima". He is the former head of the Saejima family and former vice commander of the Tojo Clan.
