Snoopy is the deuteragonist of the Peanuts franchise.
He is Charlie Brown's pet beagle, one of his best friends and who cares for him. Snoopy is blessed with a rich, Walter Mitty-like fantasy life. Snoopy is the oldest living Peanuts character due to his natural age in dog years and the real age of his family in the series.
In the cartoons and in the 2015 film The Peanuts Movie, he is voiced by the late Bill Melendez.
In Happiness Is a Warm Blanket, Charlie Brown, he is voiced by Andy Beall.
In the Apple TV tv shows and specials, he is voiced by Terry McGurrin.
He is Charlie Brown's beagle dog who acts anthropomorphic and never acts like a real dog, except he almost never wears anything except a collar, and he almost never speaks or sings (the exception of the latter two being You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown and Snoopy!!! The Musical, but in neither one's animated version does his mouth move to his dialogue because none of the human members hear him talk; however, the children do seem to hear him in the number "Just One Person" as Snoopy counts himself as the first, and then he is joined).
Personality[]
Snoopy is an immensely loyal pet and caring brother.
Appearance[]
He is a white-furred beagle dog with black ears and a red or black collar. His head also appears to be shaped like a peanut.
