Skipper is one of the supporting heroes in the Madagascar movies and one of the main characters in the TV series The Penguins of Madagascar as well as the feature film Penguins of Madagascar.
He is the leader of a four-penguin task force based out of the Central Park Zoo. During the events of the first Madagascar movie, he and his team are captured along with other animals from the zoo and shipped off to the island of Madagascar as they are deemed too dangerous.
Sometime after the events of Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted, the team returned to the zoo to continue their missions as shown in the TV series The Penguins of Madagascar. A film titled Penguins of Madagascar is unrelated to the TV series and shows how the team was formed and saved the world.
