Tinker Bell

Silvermist is one of the main characters in the first film. She is among the fairies that are at Tinker Bell's birth. When an older Tinker Bell is attacked by thistles, Silvermist immediately tries to comfort Tinker Bell even though she isn't stressed. They become friends shortly afterwards. Tinker Bell becomes bitter with her tinker talent when she is told by Queen Clarion that tinkers are not allowed in the mainland, and only nature talented fairies and allowed there. Tinker Bell asks Silvermist if she can help change her talent to a water fairy. Silvermist agrees, but still thinks Tinker Bell should be proud of her talent. Silvermist tries to teach Tinker Bell how to drop water on spiderwebs, but the tinker fails this. Tinker Bell tries to try other talents, but accidentally attracts a hawk to the fairies and nearly gets a fast-flying fairy named Vidia killed. Silvermist tries to comfrt Tinker Bell, but she flies away, upset.

When Tinker Bell fixes a broken toy, Silvermist and some of the other fairies hide and watch her. Silvermist seems most excited but is told to keep put. The fairies finally coe out, but Tinker Bell is still doubtful of her talent, and becomes angry with Silvermist and the other fairies because they promised that they would help her change talents. Silvermist tells Tinker Bell she wants her to be happy, but she remains stubborn. Silvermist is the last fairy to leave.
