Michaels attempts to win the Intercontinental Championship from Bret Hart but loses through later, He got it from Hart's Brother-in-Law, British Bulldog. During 1992, Shawn competes against Bret for the WWF Championship but fails to captures the Gold. Michaels was entangled in a Fued with Janetty and lost the IC Belt to Him though He got it back with assistance from His debuting Bodyguard, Diesel (Kevin Nash).
