The Library is one of the supporting characters in Taimanin Asagi Battle Arena, Taimanin RPGX and Taimanin GOGO!. He's a Taimanin and a cyborg who was once called Sango Bunko. He served as a ninja of the Fuuma clan for Danjo Fuuma and later Task Force G, at which point he acquired his first cyborg parts. He wanted to return to Taimanin to visit his daughter's grave, and with Ayame's help, his death was faked and he became "Library." He currently works as Kotaro's guardian and helps many others in the village.
Appearance[]
Library wears a suit of armor and only shows his gray hair. When he was a normal person, he often hid his face. Under the mask.
Personality[]
Although he is a calm and mature man, he sometimes has trouble speaking and is willing to risk his life to protect others. He speaks in a polite, humble and respectful manner and uses honorific language even to those younger than him. She cares about his daughter Tsuru Izumo, but their conversations are awkward. Library is worried that he is not a good father to Tsuru and is a little troubled.
He used to belong to a Taimanin group loyal to Danjo. He was known as a man of faith, and had no doubts about "throw away your life for the sake of your master" and often trained other Fuuma members without hesitation, which made him rather infamous and feared. Anyone who doesn't have the same determination as Bungo would be too scared. He had great expectations, but he used himself as his master's tool and was of no use. For a while, this situation changed when he met Kinu Izumo. Kinu considered him as a human being and married him too. However, between her natural death and his master's death due to rebellion, he vowed revenge without thinking twice.
However, when he hears that his daughter also died in the Fuuma rebellion, his faith is shaken and he wishes to protect the village where her daughter lives. He is grateful to Kotaro Fuuma and remains a loyal supporter and advisor of the shadows. When it was discovered that her daughter was alive, both were reluctant to reveal their relationship at first, but the library was very supportive.
Although he kept the old name Sago, the current library has changed. Since then, Library has mostly seemed to support his younger cast members such as Saya NEO and Clear Lobel, but always gives them the distance they need when they need to handle things on their own.
He is an excellent cook and has a childlike, foolish interest in large mechs like Armored Knight Zex were been piloted by Maya Cordelia.
History[]
Born as Sango Bunko, a Taimanin from Fuuma Village, he is a distant relative of the Fuuma family and served the Fuuma clan until the Taimanin of Gosha Village were unified. He served as the captain of a guerrilla force and mentored other Fuuma clans. Bunko was rather notorious for his brutal style, often ending up knocking out his training partners cold, and Amane was one of the few who could receive his training. Feared by his teammates and often isolated due to his high ideals, he once saved the Fuuma Village from a fire in the nearby forest, but he had no intention of cooperating or asking for help, so he suffered a great loss. Unbeknownst to him, he was observed by Kinu Izumo, who was impressed but also curious as he seemed very lonely.
After a training round with the crew, he is called by Danjo and appoints Kinu Izumo as vice-captain and second-in-command. What Bunko realized was a political decision to appease the conservative Fuuma clan. At first he was suspicious of Kinu and her skills, thinking that she was just a dullard following the wishes of her family, but he soon found out that he was wrong. Thanks to Kinu, the unit quickly improved, and both sides were able to combine dedication and calmness perfectly.
The group is sent to the vicinity of the Atami forest, where they fight Kukunochi, a spirit who has turned into a monster after coming into contact with the miasma of Brain Flayer technology. By taking on the creature alone and letting the team escape, both were able to overpower the forest spirit, but in the final attack Kinu was impaled by one of the tree roots. Sango reacted strongly to what he thought was Kinu's death, and for the first time he felt treated like a human being. However, Kinu revealed that such injuries can be cured. After confessing their feelings for each other, the two returned to the village, got married, and had a daughter, Sago Izumo.
Sango has met Kotaro Fuuma in the past, but it was so long ago that Kotaro has no recollection of it. Furthermore, during the Fuuma rebellion in 2068, he served Danjo, and even after Danjo was defeated, his wife Kinu died of illness, so he became Danjo's supporter and continued the fight.
He left Gosha, the village of Fuuma, and his daughter to sacrifice his body to Task Force G, where he was turned into a cyborg. He became a feared veteran as an agent of "G".
Taimanin Asagi Battle Arena[]
His "original" form is the Taimanin Slayer, and he is known as the Taimanin who betrayed Gosha and became a cyborg. Since his name is not mentioned, it is unknown if they are the same person. The Taimanin Slayer was defeated by the Taima Beast in 2082 during a test attack conducted by the UFS on Gosha to check the quality of the weapon Angers.
Taimanin RPGX[]
After Danjo was killed, Bunko defected to the UFS and transformed his body into a cyborg with the help of "G". He vowed to revive the Fuuma clan and take revenge on Danjo, and has been fighting for many years in the secret agency G. His daughter never forgave him for leaving her alone in Gosha and became an enemy of those who tried to restart the old feud between Gosha and the Fuuma clan. She took her late mother's maiden name and called herself Tsuru Izumo.
From around 2078 to 2080, Amane, who decided to continue fighting together with Bantetsu as a supporter of Danjo, like Bungo, was not satisfied with the direction of cooperation with UFS's G and other groups, he decided to leave the group. Bantetsu took this as a betrayal and began following her and cornering near one of old hideouts of Danjo. He was preparing to kill both Amane and Kotaro, a teenager who was studying her technical books. However, Bunko intervenes at the last minute and stabs Bantetsu in the back, saying that he is no longer on his side as child murder is a disgrace. Thanks to the later covert intervention of the Internal Affairs Bureau, Bantetsu was offered the body of Miranda Closet as a host much later.
In 2083, 13 years after Danjo's death, after a new Fuuma rebellion led by Gaiza, who also blindly followed Danjo, news arrives that the daughter Danjo left in Gosha Village has passed away. Until then, Bungo had been fighting without thinking about his daughter, but her daughter's death changed something in him. In the end, all is empty, and he finally decides to leave G Agency and visit his daughter's grave in Gosha.
However, Sango's cyborg technology is a highly confidential military secret of Company G, so it is not allowed to go outside. On the contrary, Sango's attempt to quit the agency was seen as an act of betrayal, and he was about to be punished, so he decided to flee to the underground city of Yomihara and lived in hiding for a long time. He approached the Japanese government for protection so he could visit his daughter's grave.
In response, Kotaro's Independent Rangers were dispatched as a rescue team, but Sango was shot and killed by the Independent Taimanin, Ayame Makishima. This is considered the official story for Taimanin and the governments. However, this was just a ploy by Asagi to deceive the UFS, G, the Japanese government, and the people of the five companies who had a grudge against Asagi. As revealed, Funako and the Internal Affairs Bureau planned to dismantle him in order to obtain his advanced cyborg parts in order to further their own cyborg research.
Thus, Sango Bunko's death was faked, and a few months later, a new nameless and faceless cyborg Taimanin developed by Gosha, Library, joined their side. They claim to be more machines than humans, but in reality the library is just given extra parts as extra cover.
Library will support Kotaro Fuuma, who has been appointed as the new head of the Fuuma family. Since he retains his sense of taste, he often tries his hand at cooking, and works as a secret guard for Gosha and Fuuma Estate.
In the year 2084, Tsuru, who had been captured by a Taimanin serial killer named Hanjiro Saito, under cover of the chaos of Gaiza's rebellion, was found to be alive. However, she was seriously injured, and although she recovered both physically and mentally and begged Kotaro Fuuma to serve as her savior, the "Library" watched on, feeling too ashamed of her actions, thinking that it would be better to think that Tsuru was dead. Follow her from her shadow.
The Library repulsed Shizuku Kuroki and Saburo Onigumo from the Nisha Ninja Troops who tried to invade through the nearby Gosha Forest.
In 2085, when the Igawa Revolt Group was re-formed under Senshu Igawa, he helped defend Gosha. He allowed his daughter to fight serial killer's brother, who had been a bystander to his brother's actions. Tsuru realizes that she has known for a long time who he is and is grateful for the trust he has placed in her to deal with her dangerous enemy alone.
The Library gave him a vacation ticket to Atami in 2087, which Kotaro Fuuma won in the battle between Juno and Dakini. Hoping that Library would relax and connect with her daughter, the two were given a forced vacation, and Koro Shishimura and Nao Homare were to accompany them to ease the awkwardness. At first, both of them had a hard time talking about their feelings and pasts, but after Library remembered how he met his wife, Kinu, they spoke for the first time as father and daughter for a while.
Taimanin GOGO![]
In the sequel, Library will appear with Elise. The exact details of this timeline are unknown, but his true identity remains the same, and he currently works as a security guard for Gosha Village, where security is deliberately kept low so he sometimes doesn't have much to do. Like other GOGO members, he has a mild degree of insanity.
As Oma Shinobu, he, Elise and Adelaide are tasked with destroying the Armored Walker Tempest at Task Force G Base. When the cyborg in the center of the base becomes active, Shinobu realizes that she knows him from a game she played in her original world and that it is the Taimanin Library. He didn't react at all, as he was portrayed as being worried and unreasonably strong, and was completely asleep, so he wasn't an enemy in the first place.
Later events show that Library frequently goes into maintenance mode under Hyouei Ichinomiya, who in this world was running some of Taimanin's later cyborg additions. Shinobu has a roof over her head, but still needs work, so she is given a mission by Hyousei to obtain parts from Task Force G base. When they return, Hyousei forgets to insert an important screw and Library goes into auto-defense mode. Together they manage to calm him down, they destroy most of the Institute, Edwin Black voices that he must pay for the damages, the group holds G responsible for the destruction, and the problem is settled.
