Run is the anti-hero/anti-villain in Akame ga Kill, he was a member of the Jaegers and Esdeath's right-hand man. After his death, Run's corpse served as one of Kurome's pawns until Wave shattered Kurome's Teigu and freed him from Yatsufusa's shackles.
Appearance[]
Run was a teenager with blonde hair and golden eyes. He wore a white robe over a black shirt and pants, a brown belt, a feather pin behind his left ear, and a collar-like accessory around his neck. In his first few appearances, he was seen holding a book.
He was also shown in winter attire with a white jacket and scarf, and on several occasions he was seen wearing a formal suit. During his teaching days, he wore a suit with a vest and cloak and wore glasses.
Personality[]
Run was peaceful, collective, and respectful. He has never raised his voice or given in to anger and was determined to realize his goals. He was also willing to use dishonorable means to achieve his goals, such as seducing women or deceiving his enemies to gain their trust. As seen when he pretends to be humble to members of the Wild Hunt and pretends to be trying to bribe them into joining the Wild Hunt, when in reality he collects incriminating evidence to use against them.
While Run was ruthless if not cruel towards his enemies, he was active in protecting civilians and hid his anger at the public executions of Imperial Fist disciples. He clearly hated the Wild Hunt. He was also very attentive to his fellow hunters and attended memorials for his fallen comrades. He became especially close to Wave and Kurome, and was willing to risk his life to protect them. Even after his resuscitation, he still showed a desire to care for them, proving it to be one of his strongest desires.
