These are all of the rules that come from the Protagonists Wiki. Please obey the rules in this wiki.
General Rules[]
- No one line articles: There is no excuse with articles having little to no information. They must have 5 full sentences or more and/or 200 words or more. One-Liners that stayed like that for over a month will become a Candidate for Deletion. Honestly, these candidate articles that remain in that category for over 3 weeks will be deleted.
- Do not recreate deleted pages without permission: Most importantly do not recreate things without permission such deleted pages or just plagiarism from another website such Wikipedia and another wiki. Also if you recreate things without permission and it will result in a ban of 1 to 2 weeks.
- Real Life People: This focuses on fiction. Anyone would make a page of a real life person will be deleted.
- No unsuitable content: We will not have any dirty jokes, or any strong/high impact themes such as bloody (blood and gore) violence, horror, drug use, nudity, course language or sexual references. As we also know we must keep it as PG or G but nothing else. Otherwise, any bad content will be deleted on sight.
- No vandalizing pages/inserting false information: If anyone vandalize a page or inserting false information, please fix the page and report to the admins or ask someone for help.
- Do not add too many pictures/videos: We will not add too many pictures or videos because most users who visit here don't have super fast connections. Twenty pictures and five videos are good enough limit. Voiding the page of pictures/videos and putting an overly long gallery will make your article hard to read.
- Remove Pure Good heroes from the same Category first: Only people with permission can remove heroes from the category, otherwise those that do it without permission will result in a ban. This type of heroes are only removed if they have been rejected on a Purely Good article.
- Cyberbullying or Harassments: Please be kind or nice to other users. Anyone who tried to bully or harass a another user will get blocked, reported, or banned for up to 2 weeks depending on the situation.
- Fan fiction: No matter how tempted the movie fans are, or how angered they are and they don't agree with what should really of happened, this wiki doesn't get fan fiction. If fan fiction does appear on a page please list it on Candidates for Deletion, Fanon belongs in the Protagonists Fanon Wiki.
- Copying from other wikis: If we copy from other wikis, we must put where we copied it from in the Edit Summary (the "Described what you changed" line). We need to say in the Edit Summary or on the page itself where we got the information from. If we rewrite what's from another wiki, we still need to give the other wiki credit. In those cases, we say something like "Adding page based on what's on the Heroes Wiki" or whatever fits. Do not copy from other wikis without attribution, that's not helping and could put this wiki at risk. Copying without attribution can make the page become "plagiarism", please beware of that.
- Different Opinions: It's okay for people to have different opinions on all wikis which they think the characters are heroes, villains, protagonists, or neutral characters because it is not in real life. Being different is okay and we can think the characters are good, bad, evil or neutral.
Protagonist-specific rules[]
- Protagonist ≠ Antagonist: Some of these antagonists can be protagonists or heroes. By definition, an antagonist is normally a character the that stands in the way of the story's protagonist. While an antagonist is sometimes a protagonist, some of them also can be the same as a hero. Do not add pages for antagonists who didn't have protagonistic/heroic acts.
- Protagonist ≠ Hero: Most people tend to confuse these two terms. By definition, a protagonist is a character the story is centered upon, while a hero is a brave character who does good/heroic deeds. While they may overlap, they are completely different things. That being said, do not count them as heroes unless they're good.
- Protagonist ≠ Villain: Some of these protagonists can be villains while antagonist can be a hero. Furthermore, Some villains who redeemed and become a hero instead. Do not add pages for villains who aren't shown as being protagonist.
- Protagonist ≠ Neutral Character: These neutral characters are sometimes protagonists who may be the main characters in their own stories. Do not add pages for neutral characters who didn't have protagonistic acts.
- Occasional Protagonists/Heroes: Some antagonists, villains and other characters can have protagonistic/heroic acts on occasions, such as Plankton from SpongeBob SquarePants, King Dedede from Kirby, and Odlulu from Where's Waldo?. Please do not count them as protagonists or heroes unless they have protagonistic/heroic acts.
- Nice guy ≠ Hero: Please be mindful that regular citizens and nice guys are simply just protagonists because they just being nice or friendly to the heroes. Being a nice person or just doing things that are expected from common folk is not enough to make a hero. Do not count them as heroes unless they show exceptionally brave or heroic traits.
