Roland is one of the main protagonists and something of an anti-hero/anti-villain in Library Of Ruina, a servant of Angela who follows her story in the library throughout the game. Before he got lost in the library, he was a grade 9 fixer in a one-man office. He is the first librarian available to the player and becomes the Patron Librarian of the first floor of General Works, which is the first floor unlocked.
Now, Roland works for Angela by accepting guests brought to the library by invitation and fighting them in the reception stage.
