Rita Loud is the supporting character of Nickelodeon's The Loud House franchise. She is the mother of the Loud kids and the wife of Lynn Loud Sr..
She is voiced by Jill Talley, who also voices Karen Plankton from SpongeBob SquarePants and Sarah Dubois from The Boondocks. In the live-action series, she was portrayed by Muretta Moss in A Loud House Christmas and currently Jolie Jenkins.

According to the episode "L is for Love" and the first film The Loud House Movie, Rita attends and graduates Royal Woods High School by starting to work as a crossing guard at Royal Woods Elementary School. When Rita bad a crush on Lynn Sr., she is too shy to get his attention. Later, she spots Lynn Sr. again at the same crossing by slipping her love note into his pocket when he passed, asking him to meet her at Banger's & Mosh. As Rita and Lynn Sr. are on a date at the restaurant, the two fell in love. She and Lynn Sr. then getting married and live their house by having their eleven children.

Rita is the mother of the Loud family where she and her husband, Lynn Sr., are making sure their children have to stay out of trouble, even the two have to punish them if they misbehave. Her first job that she works as the dental assistant, as shown in "A Novel Idea" where she takes her son, Lincoln, to cheer him up for not being included in Lynn Sr.'s work as his sisters have fun there. Rita concerned about Lincoln playing video games too much is bad for him in "The Loudest Yard" and tells him to do some sport outside.
In the third season episode "Rita Her Rights", Rita enjoys relaxing at the park by taking a break from her family, however, she gets sent to jail for breaking twelve laws in a week, but at the end, Rita gets a second chance and free from jail since Officer Schoffner realizes why she needed a break. In "What Wood Lincoln Do?", she helps Lincoln with woodworking unit since he has trouble with doing this. As of the fourth season episode "Write and Wrong", she eventually has her own parenting advice column in the newspaper.
Personality[]
Rita is motherly and caring toward her children as well as she and her husband, Lynn Sr., acts romantic towards each other. She is mostly a very good parent, but sometimes she can be harsh, even she is able to punish her children for their disobedience and recklessness.
Appearance[]
Rita wears a pink shirt with a white collar and cuffs, followed by wearing purple pants. She has big blonde hair, rather broad hips and wears white earrings. She also has blue eye shadow and red lipstick and wears black low tops.
Trivia[]
- Lynn Sr. and Rita's entire faces doesn't shown during the first season until the second season episode "11 Louds a Leapin'".
