Razputin "Raz" Aquato is the main protagonist of the Psychonauts series. He is a 10-year old psychic. As of Psychonauts 2, he is a newly hired junior Psychonaut and former Psychonaut intern.

Appearance[]

Razputin has yellow skin, wine red hair, and green eyes. His head is large compared to his body. His height is 4 feet 4 inches. Raz's costume varies slightly for each match, but most of the time he is seen wearing a few key items. A mahogany leather bag with an earned badge on the front, large red goggles, and a reddish-brown leather circus helmet.

In Psychonauts, he wears a worn brown leather jacket, a chartreuse and forest green striped turtleneck sweater, brown corduroy pants, and black shoes. He also wears the same costume in Psychonauts in the Rhombus of Ruin.

In Psychonauts 2, he wears his costume from the previous game for the first time. He then wears Sasha's borrowed clothes after his old clothes are stolen by an intern. His new outfit includes an oversized dark beige blazer, a teal turtleneck sweater, denim jeans, and sand-colored dress shoes.

Personality[]

Raz is a charismatic young psychic who decides to become an officially recognized member of the Psychonauts. He is always eager to help others, tries to see the good in everyone he meets, and shows great patience and understanding in the hearts he dives into. Having grown up in the circus, he is a master of stage performance. Raz is an accomplished trapeze artist and has received acrobatic training from his family. He uses these skills combined with strong mental powers to achieve unique performances. Despite his young age, he is a very quick learner and has shown that he can master several superpowers in just a few days.

Raz really wants to help the Psychonauts and be a part of them. As a result, his ambition to improve becomes too high, and he sometimes ends up being reckless and making mistakes. However, he quickly admits and corrects his mistakes and accepts punishment for his actions.
