Quanxi, also known as The First Devil Hunter in Chainsaw Man, is a Bow Devil Hybrid and a famous devil hunter in China.
In Public Safety Saga, she serves as a tertiary antagonist turned anti-heroine in the International Assassins Arc and a minor antagonist in the Control Devil Arc. Quanshi later returns as a supporting character in the current arc of the Academy Saga.
Appearance[]
Quanxi is a tall woman with cream colored hair tied in a ponytail. She wears an eyepatch over her right eye, her left eye is brown, and she has an athletic build. In her debut arc, during her mission to retrieve Denji's heart, she wears a large belt with her black tank top tucked into her waist-high pants. During battle, Quanxi wears a pair of scabbards on her back and holds up to three swords similar to Dao.
Quanxi now wears her hunter suit and tie as the standard public security devil. She wore that outfit in the past as well, when she was one of Makima's brainwashed servants. The design of her eyepatch has changed, and it appears to be made of frilled lace instead of leather. She also wears a matching black lace choker
In her transformed state, Quanxi's teeth sharpen along her head, turning into hardened arrows with wide curved horns in the shape of a bow on the sides of her head. An arrowhead protrudes from her neck, and her forearms sprout glove-like flesh with sharp, arcuate appendages.
Personality[]
Quanxi is calm and stoic, not ashamed to discuss work while in bed with a harem of demons, and shows little emotion when her girlfriend flirts with her. However, she cares deeply about the devil and has only one thing for her: her reward. That they should be given human rights and basic education, and that we would not attack them even after sacrificing their own safety and turning them into puppets.
Quanxi is ruthlessly pragmatic in combat, preferring to throw her enemies off the battlefield in order to effectively reduce their numbers and eliminate distractions. Similarly, after being thrown into hell, she immediately called for a truce in hostilities in order to assess their situation. This alliance lasted until the moment the threat was contained, at which point she immediately struck again. Although her attacks are swift and brutal, she sometimes chooses to leave people other than her targets alive, as highlighted when she stunned Aki and Angel Devil and offered to spare Power's life. She would sometimes tear apart the devil hunters hired to protect Denji, but that was not her goal.
Quanxi seems to have a history of being called the 'First Devil Hunter' by Santa Claus within the station. This suggestion is furthered by her conversation, which alludes to her past friendship with Kishibe.
