With a 6 feet-per-second wind behind you and the sun at 45 degrees to the northeast... I don't think you'd be a rotten egg. You'd be lunch!
~ Max

Max Kanté, known as Pegasus is a major character of Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir. In season 3, he receives the Horse Miraculous from Ladybug, which, when inhabited by Kaalki, can transform him into Pegasus (Pegase in the French version), a horse-themed superhero.

He is voiced by Benjamin Diskin for Seasons 1 through 3 and currently voiced by Zeno Robinson for Season 4 and onwards.

Biography[]

In "Gamer", when he lost his place in the school video game tournament because of Marinette Dupain-Cheng, he was akumatized by Hawk Moth and became Gamer, a video game-themed supervillain who controlled a huge fighting robot.

In "Gamer 2.0", after being turned down by everybody to play his creative video game, Max was reakumatized into Gamer, with the new title Gamer 2.0, getting a new ability to create a video game in real life.

After the events of "Strikeback", Max was temporarily unable to become Pegasus after Monarch managed to steal the Horse Miraculous along with all the others contained in the Chinese Miracle Box from Ladybug's yo-yo.

In "Re-creation", after Ladybug recovered the stolen Miraculous and reforged them following Monarch's defeat, Max was given back the Horse Miraculous permanently and reunited with Kaalki.

In "Revelator", it's shown that, after getting his Miraculous back, Max, along with the other secondary heroes of Ladybug's team, was trained to unlock his adult powers, no longer detransforming after using his power.

Appearance[]

As a civilian, he has brown skin, curly brown hair and brown eyes.

As Pegasus, Max has much lighter brown braided hair and he has dark brown half-transparent glasses. He has a full body dark brown outfit with what appears to be the Horse Miraculous on the chest. He has two spikes that appears to come from the shoes.

As Gamer, he has purple skin and red eyes. His glasses become butterfly-shaped and the glass has a light green tint. He wears a black full-body suit with a small green circle on his chest and three thin green stripes around his waist, each forearm and each lower leg.

Personality[]

He is an intelligent and nerdy member of Miss Bustier's class. He is good friends with Kim.

Powers and abilities[]

Civilian abilities[]

  • Nigh invulnerability: He is almost invulnerable to injury.

  • Robot regeneration: He regenerated his robot after "saving his last level" by pushing a button on his glasses.
  • Shape-shifting: As Gamer 2.0, he was able to transform into the villains from his game.
    • Power mimicry: He is also able to their powers.
  • Piloting skills: While he was akumatized, Gamer used a robot to blast at everything and everyone, and proved to be very good at controlling his mech.
