Mel Gizalut is one of the protagonists of Undefeated Bahamut Chronicle. She is one of the Seven Dragon Paladins, known in Ymir as a Subjugator due to her great abilities, and is a rival of Krulcifer Einfolk.

Appearance[]

Mel has wavy platinum hair and a petite body. She usually wears a chic black dress.

Personality[]

Mel, whose family was killed by Abyss, harbors absolute hatred towards Abyss. Having found the Abyss, she tries to kill it at all costs, ignoring her teamwork and saving people. She is aware of this habit of hers, but she cannot stop it.

Befitting her membership in the Seven Dragon Paladins, Mel is extremely confident in her own abilities as a Drag-Knight. Additionally, she is well versed in various areas of combat and tactics. Mel is also extremely fearless, even in the face of powerful enemies like Ragnarok and Fugil Arcadia.

Outside of her duties, Mel can still act like a girl her age, and she is very cheerful and mischievous. She often makes fun of her rival Krulcifer.

Unlike other people in the Ymir Theocracy, Mer does not believe in her religion due to the death of her family. She finds it annoying as almost everyone around her tries to use her religion to comfort her about the death of her family.

Background[]

Mel was born from a forbidden relationship between a man from the Gizalut family, a famous family of Drag-Knights, and Orphel from the church. Since this could not be made public, she was adopted as her own child. Seven years ago, during a pilgrimage festival, the ruins went wild. More than 10 Abysses appeared, and it was difficult for the Drag-Knights, who were inexperienced at the time, to deal with them. The entire Gizalut family is killed in the attack, except for Mel herself.

Due to Orphel's position, she could not officially act as Mel's mother, but she still checked in on Mel regularly. When Mel was injured or sick, Orphel nursed her through the night. Mel and those around her suspected that Orphel was trying to exploit her, but Mel still accepted her help.

She participated in a martial arts tournament two years ago. Despite being an amateur just learning to control her Drag-Ride, she dominated the other contestants, including Zane Einfolk. However, she lost to Krulcifer in the final battle. Orphel suggested this to the archbishop, and she received the Divine Drag-Ride Ddraig Gwyver as her prize.
