Maria Santiago is the supporting character of The Loud House and one of the tritagonists in The Casagrandes. She is also the deuteragonist of the 2024 Netflix film The Casagrandes Movie.
She is the mother of Ronnie Anne Santiago and Bobby Santiago, the ex-wife of Arturo Santiago, the sister of Carlos Casagrande, and the daughter of Rosa Casagrande and Hector Casagrande. She works as a nurse at an unknown hospital who saving people's lives.
She is voiced by Sumalee Montano.
Biography[]
Maria raises her kids, Ronnie Anne and Bobby, as a single parent due to her ex-husband, Arturo, has moved out to Peru, but she still get along with him. She works as a nurse at the hospital who saves people's lives. She appears in "Shell Shock" where she comes home from working at the hospital. She kindly greeted Lincoln and was delighted to see Ronnie Anne had done all her chores and congratulates her.
As of the episode "The Loudest Mission: Relative Chaos", she and her kids moved out to Great Lakes City to live with their relatives, the Casagrandes, and starts her job at the Great Lakes City hospital. In "The Loudest Thanksgiving", Maria teams up with Ronnie Anne to get Bobby to stay with them for Thanksgiving.
In "Power Play with the Casagrandes", Maria teamed up with Ronnie Anne and Bobby to cut back on energy usage by making the energy lowered.
In "Store Wars with the Casagrandes", she peels fruits for free at the mercado to keep their store stay in business when the new supermarket, Hi 'n' Buy, opens.
In "Vacation Daze", Maria searches all places of Great Lakes City to find Ronnie Anne when she gets lost.
In "Fails from the Crypt", she and Carlos disguises as the vampire and werewolf to scare Rosa, Hector, Vito and Sergio to get back at them for scaring Ronnie Anne and her friends away from the Great Lakes City Cemetery.
In "Bad Cluck", Maria and her family work together to get rid of the haunted rooster, Alfredo, who haunting their apartment.
In "A Very Casagrandes Christmas", she, her family and other neighbors save Ronnie Anne, Bobby and Arturo from the Hi 'n' Buy who gets snowed in.
In The Casagrandes Movie, Maria is shown to be very protective of Ronnie Anne and wants her to learn to spend time with her family during her 12th birthday trip to Mexico. Later, she, her family Punguari work together to defeat Ucumu and save Mexico. After Ucumu's defeat, Maria shows her respect to Ronnie Anne and declares that she is growing up.

Maria is a tall and slim woman who has dark tan skin, black hair tied up in a tight bun, two pairs of eyelashes and eyebags. She wears a pink sweater, dark purple pants and red flats.
She has been seen wearing two different nurse's outfits:
- While working at the Royal Woods Hospital, she wears a white scrub, a white cap with a red cross and black short heeled shoes.
- While working at the Great Lakes City Hospital, she wears a light blue scrub with a white long-sleeved shirt underneath and white shoes.
