Mari Nikaido is one of the deuteragonists of Anti-Magic Academy: The 35th Test Platoon, she's a famous witch as the Witch of Aurora based on the ancient Aurora attributes. She was previously a conscript in Valhalla, but then she became the first enrolled witch at the Anti-Magic Academy, where she joined the 35th Test Platoon.
Appearance[]
Mari has shoulder-length brown hair tied in a small ponytail at the back with her bangs swept to the left and yellow-green eyes.
She rarely continues to wear her academy uniform, which makes her appearance stand out when compared to the rest of her team. Instead, she wears a navy blue jacket and orange skirt, with brown boots and white thigh-high socks. Finally, she has a hat and tricolor scarf to match her jacket. During her series, Mari wears Gleipnir, a special collar that prohibits the use of magic.
In the epilogue, Mari maintains her signature beret, scarf, and her individual costume in her new job as an academy teacher. The fact that she is ridiculed by Ouka for wearing such a short skirt near students. She also loses her pigtails to let her hair flow straight.
Personality[]
Mari is a selfless girl, her only reason for joining Valhalla was to protect the children she grew up with in an orphanage on the outskirts of town. A series of events caused her to behave less than favorably with the members of Valhalla, and ultimately her guilt reached a breaking point, leading to her defection. Mari has a strong sense of justice, but her motivation for that comes mainly from her love for Takeru Kusanagi, and she often competes with others, and her love flags don't go up at all. But she's also starting to value her teammates.
Mari is excellent at her talent for creating magic, she is quite confident in her abilities, and she usually has a proud attitude. However, due to her relatively small breasts, she is frequently teased by her teammates and is most at odds with the platoon member, Ouka. Ouka embodies the two things the Mari wouldn't stand the most. It despises her large breasts and, more importantly, her magic.
