Lucia is one of Roman Orthodox Church's nuns who is a member of the Agnese Forces, a paramilitary group led by her friend Agnese Sanctis. She is a girl with a mysterious past, and despite her cold exterior, she has a sincere and devoted personality. She was initially introduced in the light novel, manga, and anime series A Certain Magical Index as an antagonist, a timid and clumsy partner, and a foil to Angelene, but she later reformed and joined the Necessarius, representing British Royal Family after been betrayed as a supporting character and an anti-heroine.
After the war, relations between the churches improved and, as a result of great efforts by Agnese's forces, the group later returned to the authority of the Roman Orthodox Church.

Lucia looks and physically older than Agnese and Angelene. She is a tall girl with short blonde hair and evil blue eyes. Her hair is usually hidden under black locks, leaving strands of hair exposed on either side of her face.

Lucia, along with her leaders, was extremely devoted to the cause of the Church, deceiving others and blindly following Church doctrine at Agnese's orders, such as when she deceived Touma and the Angelican Church into handing over Orsola Aquinas. Like when she participated in a mock trial for Orsola's crimes.
However, what separates her from Agnese is her complete devotion to her Catholicism, to the extent that it distorts her actions towards those who do not follow her Catholicism, making her a form of extremism. She intends to disobey Agnese's orders just because her non-believer Touma touches her shoulder as if he is seriously injured. She is also strict and shows criticism of Angelene's lax attitude toward her role as a Christian, especially her role as a nun, even at a very young age.
She is also, like Agnese, a ruthless deputy leader of Agnese's army, willing to do terrible harm to her fellow nuns who show no protest in order to defeat her enemies. She heard the voice of Sheol Fear of the Index, and was able to turn the tables on her again in the Battle of the Church of Orsola.
