Ling Xiaoyu (Also known as Xiaoyu, simply Xiao) is One of the Female Protagonist from Tekken who makes Her Debut in Tekken 8. She is a Current Timeline Opposite of Ling Xiaoyu who makes Her Debut in Tekken 3, appears in Tekken 4, Tekken 5, Tekken VI: Blood Rebellion and Tekken 7.
Ling Xiaoyu was born and raised in China and is a Student at Mishima High School in Japan. She is a Schoolmate of Miharu Hirano and Jin Kazama, who She has a crush on and wishes to supports Him in any way possible. Her Fighting Style was brought on with Some Influence from from Her Distant Relative, Wang Jinrei.
She is also voiced by the Japanese Voice Actress, Maaya Sakamoto in Anime Adaptions.
Personalities[]
Ling Xiaoyu is a Cheerful Girl whose Dream is to builds an Amusement Park in China. After suggestions from Her Teacher and Distant Relative, Wang Jinrei, She visits Heihachi Mishima and begs Him to builds Her Park.
Amused at the Girl and surprised at Her Strength (She trashed Some of His Guards before), He makes an Offer to Her: win the 3rd Tournament and He will comply. Due yo this, She ends up moving to Japan and attending Heihachi's Private School where She becomes a Close Friend of Jin.
Ever since them, She's been trying to helps/saves/resolves Jin and the Mishimas' Dysfunctional Relationships. None of Them are actually bothered to even notices Her attempts, though; it is a Wonder Jin is not tired of talking Her down.

- Miharu Hirano, Alisa Bosconovitch, and Jin Kazama calls "Xiao", which is a Shorter Version of Her Name, which shows They are Friends).
- Despite being Chinese, Xiaoyu speaks only in Japanese, even to Her Master and Distant Relative, Wang Jinrei, in an interlude in Tekken 5, due to Her Time Spent in Japan. Though, this is also due to Narrative Reasons.
