Marinette Dupain-Cheng, known as Ladybug is one of the two titular main protagonists of Miraculous Ladybug.
She is a student in Miss Bustier's class at Collège Françoise Dupont in Paris, France and a budding fashion designer. With the Ladybug Miraculous, when inhabited by Tikki, Marinette transforms into Ladybug, gaining the power of creation to stop Hawk Moth and his akumatized villains. She is also the leader of the French Miraculous superhero team.
In "Syren", Master Wang Fu translates an old spellbook and finds a way to make the miraculouses form into different power-ups. He finds the aqua mode as on power-up and Marinette uses it, she becomes Aqua Bug, Ladybug but she can breath underwater and has a special aqua suit.
In "Kwamibuster", after Tikki is captured by the titular villain, Marinette wears multiple Miraculous but activates the Mouse Miraculous to become Multimouse, a mouse-themed superhero. In the same episode, Multimouse's various copies transform with the Mouse Miraculous combined with the Ladybug, Cat and Fox Miraculous to become Multibug, Multinoir and Multifox respectively.
In "Feast", after defeating the sentimonster that was controlled by Hawk Moth and Mayura, Master Fu began to train Marinette in order to pass his title to her as the New Guardian of the Miraculouses.
In "Reflekdoll", Marinette obtains the Cat Miraculous, which when inhabited by Plagg, will be able to transform her into Lady Noir, gaining the power of destruction.
In "Ladybug", after being expelled from school, she is nearly akumatized by Scarlet Moth into Princess Justice. However, her akumatization is interrupted because of Nathalie Sancoeur's illness and it is never fully completed.
In "Miracle Queen", after Miracle Queen brainwashes the temporary Miraculous holders to be her slaves, Marinette wears the Dragon Miraculous combined with the Ladybug Miraculous she already owns, to become Dragon Bug. Since then, Marinette becomes the new Guardian of the Miraculouses after Master Fu relinquishes his role as Guardian and passes it to her.
In "Gang of Secrets", after defeating the titular group with some help from Lady Wifi, whom rejects Hawk Moth's negative emotions, Marinette is able to confide in her friends and apologize for not telling them what was wrong with her. But Alya knows there's something more to Marinette's story, so she stays behind, and eventually after breaking down, Marinette tells Alya that she is, in fact, Ladybug.
In "Mr. Pigeon 72", after defeating the titular villain and with some help from Rena Rouge, Ladybug is able to expand the limits of her power, gaining a new costume and the ability to create magical charms that are able to protect people from reakumatizations.
In "Optigami", to immobilize Style Queen, Marinette unifies the Bee Miraculous with the Ladybug Miraculous to become Lady Bee. It is also revealed that Alya is Marinette's heir presumptive to becoming guardian of the Miracle box.
In "Sentibubbler", in order to free herself from the bubble the titular sentimonster put her in and to take the amokized coffee cup Shadow Moth is using to control Sentibubbler, Marinette unifies the Horse Miraculous with the Ladybug Miraculous to become Pegabug.
In "Strikeback", after mistakenly believing Felix to be Adrien, Marinette unifies the Ladybug, Horse and Rabbit Miraculous, becoming Pennybug, to reach him in the train and travel in time to figure out Risk's akumatized item. However, the mistake of giving a Miraculous to Félix results on him to betray her, stealing her yo-yo and giving it to his uncle, Gabriel Agreste, for the Peacock Miraculous, causing the villain to obtain all the Miraculous in the Chinese Miracle Box, except for hers and Cat Noir's.
The Ladybug Miraculous grants the power of Creation.
Lucky Charm - this is her secret superpower that allows her to create and summon a random object that she uses to defeat enemies. This is the miraculous version of object creation.
