Kuroka Toujou is an antagonist turned anti-heroine of the High School DxD series. She is the older sister of Koneko Toujou and the eldest daughter of Fujimai and her human lover. After the death of her parents, she and her sister were turned into reincarnated demons by the Naberius family. However, Kuroka, who killed her previous master to protect her sister, became an SS-class demon, one of the most wanted criminals.
She soon became a member of Vali Team, previously in the Khaos Brigade, and upon joining Team DxD, her actions exonerated her previous crimes. She is also one of Issei's fiancées. After the defeat of the Alliance of Hell, she became the bishop of Xenovia Quarta.
