Kurenai Shinganji, known as Demon Kurenai, is the main deuteragonist of Kaiju of Shadows Kurobare and the archenemy of Felicia. She is the anti-heroic/anti-villainous antagonist-turned-main protagonist of Taimanin Kurenai and one of the supporting protagonists in Taimanin Asagi Battle Arena, Taimanin RPGX, Action Taimanin, and Taimanin GOGO!.
Appearance[]
Kurenai is a youthful woman with short blonde hair tied into two short braids. She has blonde eyes, a small to medium sized bust, and blue eyes.
She is wearing a blue and white combat uniform.
Personality[]
Despite her demonic bloodline, she has a strong hatred for the demons that harmed her mother and grandfather in the past. Kurenai remains calm even when her demon bloodline is insulted, and in return, she also stops Ayame from getting angry. She feels guilty for her own vampire blood and for bringing her hardships to her grandfather and her clan. Although she tries to live up to her expectations as a righteous Taimanin, there is still a part of her that reacts to childish perversity and light teasing.
Although she initially thought she was not good at working with children, she now enjoys her job at Himawari, an orphanage. Kurenai is highly self-motivated and will go out of her way to fight for her justice, killing members of the Fuuma clan who attacked Ayame as part of her punishment. Her inner demon form causes her to fall into a state of murderous intent where she enjoys her murderous acts, but at the end of Taimanin Kurenai, her other form appears to be under control.
She is very clumsy when it comes to romance and pervy matters, but that doesn't mean she's bad at it, and she tends to get hard when other people are involved.
History[]
Kurenai was born around 2048 as the daughter of Kaede Shinganji and Edwin Black.
She is a member of the Shinganji clan, one of the eight major clans following the Fuuma clan. Kurenai is her first child and was named with the help of her uncle Sakyo Shinganji.
One day, her mother was kidnapped by Edwin Black, and after being experimented on and raped by the vampire, Kurenai was born into the world of darkness as a half-demon. Her grandfather, Gen-an Shinganji, the head of the Shinganji family, tried to save her daughter, but was only able to retrieve her Kurenai. With her permanent injuries, he was unable to retrieve Kaeda. Her grandfather ceased being an active Taimanin and slowly faded into the background as head of the Shinganji clan, instead raising and educating Kurenai. She has a strong sense of justice, and her grandfather taught her swordsmanship because of her desire to save her mother. Although Kurenai grew up in Gosha Village, she faced discrimination due to her position as the heir of the Shinganji and Fuuma families, as well as her half-vampire status.
Around 2066, when Kurenai was older than her, she learns of the continued unjust execution and torture of Ayame, a classmate of hers in the Fuuma clan. Rushing ahead of her, Kurenai kills a low-ranking Fuuma clan member who sexually assaulted Ayame for several days as punishment. Utilizes her powers gained from her hybridity, and her form transformed into a demonic form. Her execution was not authorized, so technically her actions were forgiven, but it still created further resentment. However, out of her gratitude and sense of responsibility, Ayame pledges her eternal loyalty and service to Kurenai, and the two subsequently become best friends.
Initially, this was mentioned as the reason for Kurenai, Ayame, and Gen-an's departure from Gosha Village, but in later online games, "The Fuuma Revolt of Danjo Fuuma" is also mentioned as a motive. The Shinganji clan did not join the Danjokata, and later left the village as a member of the Fuma clan.
After Gen-an's natural death, Kurenai became the head of the Shinganji family. However, her actions with Ayame combined with her own demon blood made her unworthy in the eyes of her clan and hated by her own clan, making her even more isolated. She instead maintained strong contacts with the Section Three of the government that was monitoring Taimanin, although she operated more privately.
Taimanin Kurenai[]
In the prologue, Kurenai interrupts the slave trade of Kazuma Tendou, the leader of the group House of Greed, who has many deals with Dragon Gate and the Chinese Federation. Kazuma not only created human body modifications for slaves and considered himself an artist, but he was also one of the creators of the drug "Hallelujah,'' which was popular in Tokyo at the time. After destroying his self-made demon Flesh Doll Guard, Kazuma manages to escape even as Ayame Makishima supports Kurenai from afar. Two Taimanin return to their hometown after failing in their mission to subdue and capture Kazuma. Kurenai works a day job at Himawari, an orphanage that houses victims of demonic attacks and recent wars. She is loved by the children, and she and Ayame also use this place to communicate with her third division. Shortly after the failure of the mission, Reiichiro Tomari personally informs him of the next mission. Tomari is a low-ranking member of the Fuuma clan and still harbors a grudge and hatred towards Kurenai, which she just hides well with her sarcasm and fake smile. Ayame talks bad about Kurenai because of the mission and tries to kill him, but Kurenai prevents further escalation. Respecting her own failures in her previous mission and her responsibility, she agrees to the next mission to defeat Tendo. This mission is one over which Tomari has much more knowledge and control.
The operation begins the next day, and Kurenai infiltrates the club "King's Pleasure" in Tokyo Kingdom and approaches Kazuma as a prostitute. Ayame herself will also be waiting near the roof for backup and support. However, when Kurenai interacts with Kazuma, she is given a hallelujah and quickly loses control of her situation, revealing that Kazuma knows it is Kurenai thanks to one of her contacts. I made it clear. Kurenai takes out another Flesh Doll and the battle begins, but she can't fight well like this. Ayame rushes to her rescue, but before she can enter the club, Tomari, who was assisting her, pushes her from behind. She and Kazuma secretly. Ayame is captured by Kurenai, who has no choice but to give up, and her powers begin to decline. The two are brought to Kazuma's mansion, also known as the "House of Greed", in Yomihara.
In it, their bodies are altered by heretical acupuncture, their sensitivity increased, and curses are applied that increase their obedience and obedience. Meanwhile, Ayame is left in the care of Tomari, who cannot make a sound due to a curse. Kurenai remains with Kazuma for further training, as as a half-vampire she is very valuable for research and as a slave. Kazuma is planning a big auction and party to sell her Kurenai, but until then he has to train her and eat her into a spirit of humiliation, while trying to make her a trusted master. It makes you think that it is. Kurenai meets another slave girl named Felicia under Kazuma. She is said to be a noble demon, and it is said that some time ago she was trained to be a loyal personal slave. Felicia often teases Kurenai that she is too shy and indecisive to be human, but she seems to know more than she reveals. Felicia seems insane, but it's unclear if she's on her Kurenai side or playing her own game. In the bad ending, Kurenai's auction is held in the form of a game using monsters' bug weapons, and Ayame, who has been completely brainwashed, supports the game and expresses her own desire for Kurenai. There are three outcomes from this, Kurenai is bought by Muneyoshi Yami for his demon beast Taro, Kurenai becomes Kazuma's slave completely, which causes her to continue closing auctions. Until Kazuma, Ayame and Kurenai are able to become Tomari's slaves to use for lower-class clan members as Tomari is promoted to the rank of the Third Division.
In the true ending, Ayame retains her sanity to some extent, and Felicia breaks her curse enough to be able to forcefully exorcise it from herself. Kurenai becomes part of the game again, and Kurenai initially follows her desires, but she is able to break free and free Kurenai, who is too weak at this point. Multiple guards begin attacking and Ayame begins bleeding from her wounds, but feeds on her blood to give Kurenai a chance, which awakens Kurenai's powers. Ayame loses her consciousness and Kurenai takes care of the guards and meat puppets. She kills Tomari, undergoes further body modification and strengthening by Kazuma, and kills him. Kazuma himself was shocked at first, but before he had time to react, Felicia decapitated him. Edwin Black, leader of the Nomads and king of the vampires, arrives and reveals that not only Kurenai but also Felicia is his daughter. His goal was to use Kazuma's unconscious pieces as tools and awaken Kurenai's demonic side. Felicia watched the progress, but it seemed that even though Kurenai awakened, she did not become a complete demon, and her wish to protect Ayame was still unsuccessful.
Felicia reveals that Kurenai's mother has already been killed by her own hands and that if she were a mere human failure, she would do the same as her father's orders. Both girls begin to fight, and Edwin Black watches the battle from afar with interest. Combining her half-demon vampire powers with her evil eye, Kurenai is able to far exceed Felicia's abilities and even unleash her powers on Felicia. Remembering her grandfather's teachings, Kurenai overcomes her quick demonic healing and cuts Felecia in half.
Black, who was lying dead on the ground, picks her up but refuses to fight her Kurenai. He says, "I don't want to lose my two daughters in one day,'' and Black disappears into the fog along with Felicia's body. Kurenai turns to Ayame, who is prepared to die from blood loss. Kurenai uses half of her own vampire blood to turn Ayame into her vampire and keep her alive, after which they are both able to escape from her House of Greed.
Kurenai and Ayame both report to the Third Division and have some of her influence taken away from them in return. In Section Three, they learn both of the deep corruption of the Fuuma clan by people like Tomari and that their only remaining trusted member has become a demon associated with Black in their eyes, and they join Kurenai and Ayame. A hearing was scheduled for both of them, presumably with Nobushige Yamamoto in hopes that they would be able to defend them, but the two Taimanin never showed up.
Instead, the two became Rogue Taimanin, hunting Black and Nomad around the Dark City without the supervision of the Third Section.
