Jinga Mikage is a heroic counterpart of the Fallen Knight Jinga and the main protagonist of Fang of God: JINGA. After the events, Jinga was defeated by Messiah and was reborn as a man of light who struggles with the darkness of his past due to the events of Jinga within Ryūga-verse. The corrupted Jinga returns and fights with Jinga Mikage for supremacy over the same body. His villainous counterpart destroyed him and returned to the living.
Personality[]
Jinga Mikage is the reincarnation of the Fallen Knight Zinga. After Garo/Ryūga Dōgai seals Jinga away, he fights Messiah in the Makai Realm and is defeated. His soul drifted into darkness, reincarnated into the Mikage family, and became a Makai Knight. Physically, he is exactly the same as in his previous life, and although he is a man in his 30s, he still has the same white hair. It has been suggested that he has no memory of his previous life, and that his personality is similar to his previous life as a Makai Knight before his downfall.
In this life, Jinga becomes a talented knight with the title Roze, and helps train his younger brother Toma to become a knight as well. Jinga's new life is soon ruined by tragedy. His father was turned into a Horror and killed his mother, and Jinga was forced to kill his father in front of Toma. Suffering from a form of his PTSD, he is often plagued by nightmares of the event and hallucinations of his murdered parents. This negatively affected his duties as a human and as a knight. As pointed out by Makai Priestess partner Fūsa, Jinga is a capable Makai Knight, but is often dragged down by psychological trauma, especially when it comes to his family and parents. Unbeknownst to Jinga, his dark past remains in his heart.
When Horror's Padeena bit Jinga, a change occurred in Jinga's body. It restored Jinga's dark personality and gave him the ability to free people from the possession of fear. However, it was a dark plan devised by Amily. As Jinga explores his new abilities, this controversial power invites criticism from the Makai Order, and Jinga begins to associate his powers with miracles. Jinga came to believe that the tragedy in his own life gave him the power to save others, making him the savior of humanity. Unfortunately, his powers were still under the control of the cult, and Jinga was furious that people did not believe in his miraculous powers.
This new power put pressure on Jinga to save as many people as possible. However, Jinga was unaware that his dark personality was starting to take over. In moments of privacy, the corrupt Jinga took charge, killing anyone who got in his way or offended him. Jinga Mikage suffered from his memory lapses, dark vision, and behavioral problems, but he and Fūsa ignored the signs, believing it to be stress. As this order began to be imposed on him and his family, Jinga desperately began to believe that he was a savior rather than a threat. He opposed the order that judged him. Eventually, the original Jinga reveals his true identity and reveals the "miraculous powers" he gave to Jinga Mikage to help extend Horror's lifespan so that he can eat Horror more deliciously. When Zinga reveals that the freed victims are still possessed and causing even greater harm to humanity, Jinga's heart is shattered. The original Jinga destroyed the Jinga Mikage and now has full control over his new body, ready to wreak havoc and mayhem in the human realm along with Amily.
