Jermaine is one of the recurring characters in Xiaolin Showdown and Xiaolin Chronicles, and was a child from New York City who befriended Omi. He was good at basketball and later became a Wudai Warrior-level Xiaolin Monk under the guidance of Chase Young.
Appearance[]
Jermaine was primarily seen wearing a red, white and blue No. 7 jersey with red pants. He had a small afro, small black eyes, and very thick eyebrows. When he wasn't wearing his jersey costume, he wore a Xiaolin monk costume similar to Omi, Kimiko, Raimundo, and Clay.
Personality[]
Jermaine was an urbane, easy-going, relaxed kid who was very active when needed. Although he was a loyal and good person, he could become enraged when things went too far, such as when Omi did not treat him well because he was jealous of his accomplishments.
History[]
Jermaine first appeared in the episode "My Homey Omi" when Xiaolin monk travels to New York to find the Serpent's Tail. When Omi got lost, he met Jermaine and they became friends. When Omi found the Serpent's Tail, he got there at the same time as Jack Spicer. Spicer declared that the showdown would be a basketball game. Omi was joined by Jermaine who contributed to the victory. After they won, Omi offered Jermaine a place to live at Xiaolin Temple.
He refused, but later Jermaine returned to the temple in "Something Jermaine" where he reached the level of Wudai Warrior, one level above Omi, which made him extremely jealous. This creates a wedge between the two. Omi soon realized that it was Chase Young who was training Jermaine, but Jermaine had no idea that Chase was the bad guy. Later in the episode, Jermaine, Omi, Jack Spicer, and Tabimura competed in the Shaolin Showdown for the Golden Finger. Tabimura and Spicer were eliminated first, leaving Omi and Jermaine to fight. However, Omi revealed Chase Young's true nature to Jermaine and he said he would not fight him. Jermaine eventually realized what was happening and agreed not to fight Omi. The two patched things up and were friends again.
