Howard and Harold McBride

Howard and Harold McBride are the supporting characters of Nickelodeon animated series The Loud House. They are adoptive fathers of Clyde McBride.

Howard is voiced by Michael McDonald. Harold is also voiced by Wayne Brady in S1 E09A to S6 E11A and currently Khary Payton. In the live-action series, they were portrayed by Justin Michael Stevenson and Marcus Folmar in A Loud House Christmas as well as Stephen Guarino and Ray Ford in The Really Loud House.

Biographies[]

Howard and Harold lives with their son Clyde and their two pet cats, Cleopawtra and Nepurrtiti at Royal Woods. They drive a big red van with a license plate that reads "McRide" on it. Their surname is ironic because a bride is a newlywed woman, but they are two married men.

They first appeared in "Overnight Success" which they walk their son over to the Loud family's house for a sleepover. They tries to help Lincoln with his science project in "Attention Deficit", but get annoyed when Lincoln's sisters start to ask them for help. In "11 Louds a Leapin'", Howard and Harold teamed up with their son and the Loud family to redeem Mr. Grouse by singing the Christmas song. They enlist Lincoln's help to restore Clyde's faith in ghost hunting in "ARGGH! You for Real?" after finding out that their favorite show, ARGGH!, is just completely staged. In "Health Kicked", Howard and Harold trains to compete in a Royal Woods ninja competition.

Howard and Harold shown to be overprotective towards their son, Clyde, as shown in "Snow Way Down" and "Exchange of Heart". As of the fifth season episode "Dad Reputation", Harold along with Lynn Sr., Kotaro and Rodney starts to make the music band, the Doo Dads. In "Save Royal Woods!", they along with the others help Lincoln save Royal Woods from Joyce. Howard, Harold and their son work together to set up a birthday party for Nana Gayle in "Cat-astrophe" after they being distracted with planning on the cat's graduation party.

Howard is a tall man who has buck teeth, reddish hair, a long pointy nose and a long oval-shaped head. He also has bags around his eyes. He wears brown slacks, white sneakers and a red collared shirt with rolled-up sleeves and four buttons.

Harold[]

Harold is a round man who has dark skin and black hair. His hair appears to be thinning and is very short compared to Howard's height and his hair. He wears a blue sweater vest with a black bow tie and a light blue shirt underneath. He also sports a pair of jeans and brown loafer shoes.
