Heishiro Mitsurugi is the Major Protagonist from the Soul Calibur Series of Video Games. He has a Rivalry with a Female Anti-Heroine of sorts called Setsuka. He is a Samurai who uses the Basic Matama Sword for Combat. Mitsurugi is a Samurai Warrior that has appeared in Every Iteration of the Soul Calibur Series. As a Samurai His Fighting Style resolves around the Katana. Mitsurugi is based on, the Real Life Swordsman, Musashi Miyamoto. He is One of, if not the Most Recognizable Character in the Soul Calibur Roster.
In the Japanese Version, He was formerly voiced by Wataru Takagi and currently by Toshiyuki Morikawa. In the English Version, He was voiced by Scott Keck in Soul Calibur II, Ed Cunningham in Soul Calibur III, Soul Calibur Legends, Soul Calibur IV, Soul Calibur 4: Broken Destiny and Soul Calibur V and Ray Chase in Soul Calibur VI.

Mitsurugi is an Ambitious Samurai who has only One Goal in Mind: To seeks out the Strongest Warrior and challenges Him/Her to a Duel then becomes the Strongest Warrior in History. Although Cocky in Battles, be does however shows Honor in the Code of the Samurai, and as a Part of that Honor, He does not kills His Opponents He defeats.
He has a tendency to criticizes His Opponents if They pulls Fast Ones in Battles, or do not fights Properly (as shown when He is ringed out).

Mitsurugi, then known only by His First Name, "Heishiro" was the Fourth Son born to a Japanese Farmer from the Village, Bizen. After His Homeland was ravaged by Various Hostile Forces, Heishiro decides to takes up Arms and becomes a Samurai. It was not until after His Parents dies that He finally earns His Sword of Honor as well as His Recognizable title, Mitsurugi.
As a Veteran Samurai, Mitsurugi proves Himself to be both a Powerful and Honorable Warrior in Battles, as noted by Other Samurai such as Kenshin Uesugi and Nobunaga Oda; but deep down, Mitsurugi has a More Personal Desire: He wishes to seeks out the Most Powerful Warrior possible and challenges Them to the Duel of the Ages.
Over Time, Mitsurugi parts ways with the Samurai, and instead becomes a Mercenary whenever a War breaks out in Japan. Eventually, He listens to Stories about a Newly Introduced Weapon calls the Rifle, which has allegedly takes down the Takeda Cavalry at the Battles of Nagashino. Realizing that the Weapon could turns His Series obsolete, He decides to takes on the Task and searches for the Legendary Sword, Soul Edge.
