Felonious Gru Jr. is one of the two deuteragonists (alongside Poppy Prescott) of Illumination's 15th feature film Despicable Me 4, the sixth installment of the Despicable Me franchise.
He is the first biological and infant son of Gru and Lucy, and the youngest brother of his adoptive sisters, Margo, Edith, and Agnes.
Gru Jr. is born to Gru and Lucy Wilde, which makes him the younger adoptive brother of Margo, Edith, and Agnes, and the first biological child of Gru.
One day, the whole family is forced into hiding by the AVL when Gru's enemy and arch-rival, Maxime La Mal, has escaped prison and is targeting Gru. Silas Ramsbottom relocates them to Mayflower under new identities.
Appearance[]
Gru Jr. has blue eyes, a pointy nose, and a red tuft of hair on his head (similar to some of Lucy's features) He wears a grey onesie with lighter gray polka-dots, and a gray scarf with black stripes exactly like Gru's.
Personality[]
Gru Jr. has typical infant behavior. He is very curious and playful with everyone around him, often giggling or just doing what a normal infant would do.
However, when it comes to his father, he is very cold and closed off to him. He doesn't show the same bit of love or warmth he does to Lucy for his father. More often than not, he likes making it hard for his father to do anything.
But over the course of the movie, he starts to love his father more and even broke out of Maxime's brainwashing just so he could rescue his dad. Gru Jr. eventually calls his dad “Dada” once rescued.
He was slightly hated and some fans say he doesn't make sense due to Lucy not being shown to be pregnant to him.
