The Golem Bomber is a member of the Five Dastardly Bombers and a recurring antagonist turned anti-hero in the Bomberman series. He is a heavy set bomber with powerful bombs. The Golem Bomber is the largest of the Five Dastardly Bombers.

He is a Bomber Cyborg and is given the ability to plant bombs like Bombermen. He is usually the second Dastardly Bomber to fight. Despite being the strongman of the group and having a slow rate of understanding, Golem Bomber is actually quite peaceful and kind-hearted, and enjoys nature and wildlife.

Personality[]

The Golem Bomber is a big, quiet, aggressive team powerhouse. He deals a lot of firepower. In Saturn Bomberman Fight!!, he values nature and animals, and is reluctant to fight people he believes he has no chance of defeating. At the Bomberman Tournament, he asked White Bomberman what he knew about Max, but held his ground, saying that fate was on his side before starting the fight. In Super Bomberman R, his personality is similar to Saturn Bomberman Fight, but he has a tendency to grunt "OUGH" and has a more limited vocabulary. However, when Yellow gives him flowers and a message saying "See you again," Golem's kindness returns, showing Golem's sensitivity.

Biography[]

At some point in the past, he becomes involved in a conspiracy on the planet Phantarion, where Five Dastardly Bombers battle the World Forces and seriously injure Max before being deported.

Super Bomberman 2[]

In Super Bomberman 2, he and the other Dastardly Bombers capture the White Bomberman, but Bomberman is released inside their ship. Golem Bomber fights Bomberman at the second base and shows off his strength, but is defeated and falls to Earth along with the wreckage of his ship.

Bomberman: Panic Bomber[]

In the PC Engine version of Bomberman: Panic Bomber, the Golem Bomber returns as one of the final enemies. And like the Pretty Bomber, the Golem Bomber also wants revenge for the presumed deaths of the Five Dastardly Bombers. He was the first of four people to protect the floating castle.

Bomberman B-Daman[]

In Bomberman B-Daman, the Golem Bomber appears as one of several live targets on the game board, along with three other male characters from the Five Dastardly Bombers.

Super Bomberman 3[]

In Super Bomberman 3, he was revived by his master, Dr. Bagura. He took control of Firestorm in the Bomber Nebula, but was again defeated by White Bomberman and Black Bomberman. He later returns to battle in a bonded mech at the end of the game, but is defeated again and left stranded inside Bagura's exploding battleship.

Saturn Bomberman Fight!![]

In Saturn Bomberman Fight!!, after being defeated by Bomberman in Super Bomberman 3, he begins wandering around the forest and becomes partially paralyzed for some reason. Mami happened to accompany him in the forest and worked hard to raise him to good health. Golem Bomber became attached to the girl, became her guardian, and lived happily with Mami and her mother. However, Mami's mother became ill. In order to win the Grand Prix and make his wish come true, Golem Bomber entered the Bomber Convention, a tournament between 18 of the world's strongest bomb warriors. By doing so, he wanted to repay her by curing Mami and her mother's illness. Both Golem Bomber and Mami were defeated. However, the White Bomber promised to speak with Dr. Ain to see if he could find a cure for Mami's mother's illness.

Bomberman Tournament[]

He and the rest of the Dastardly Bombers returned to Phantarion many years later in the Bomberman Tournament to carry out their old plan, but revised it based on their previous failures. The plan was successful and they ruled Earth for about a year until White Bomberman came to stop them. The Golem Bomber has taken control of the Golem base located in the pyramid at the top of the volcano. Golem Bomber fused with Charabom Seawing to become Golem Ghost, and summoned Bomber Zombie to fight White Bomberman. This was not enough, and when defeated, they fled and the volcano became silent.

Super Bomberman R & R2[]

Before the events of Super Bomberman R, the five were deactivated on the planet Scrapheap. The evil emperor Buggler revived them in order to conquer the five planets of the starry solar system in his name. The Bomberman Bros (White and Black, as well as Blue, Red, Yellow, Green, Pink, and Aqua) set out to stop the Buggler Army's expanding intergalactic conquest and liberate the invaded planets.

The Golem Bomber is encountered in World 2: Planet Timbertree. He looks like a rusted structure with moss and birds nesting in it, but he wakes up in a daze when Yellow approaches, giving him flowers. White realizes that the Golem Bomber is one of the Dastardly Bombers and stops him, trying to hide the fact that he is frightened by its size. Declaring Bomberman to be the enemy, Golem Bomber begins a fight on foot. After being blown away, he utilizes a robot, Fort Walker. Golem Bomber then woke up again some time later and found a yellow flower and paper in his hands. It says "See you again!" and has yellow and a picture of a flower on it. Silently, a crude heart appears inside the helmet and accepts Yellow's friendship.

Emperor Buggler is then chased by a man-made black hole that threatens to engulf the solar system and eventually the entire universe. He summons Five Dastardly Bombers to form the Great Gattaida, but is defeated by the Bomberman Brothers. As his last resort, Buggler uses his powers to grow into the Ultimate Buggler. After the Great Gattaida was destroyed, the Five Dastardly Bombers finally came to their senses and voluntarily gave their powers to the Bomberman Bros to defeat the Buggler for the time being. Afterwards, the former Dastardly Bombers once again had good relations with the people of Planet Bomber and resumed their former lives peacefully.

In one of his images in the credits, Golem Bomber is hanging a nut-shaped birdhouse, and Yellow is playing with Golem's blue, yellow, and pink birds.

In Super Bomberman R2, the Golem Bomber returns as a playable character in the game's battle mode. He is absent throughout the game's story mode, but makes a brief appearance during the ending credits, where he is seen repairing damage to Planet Bomber along with the other Dastardly Bombers and the Bomberman Bros.
