Genjuro Kibagami is a major deuteragonist and the recurring antagonist from the Samurai Shodown series. He debuted in Samurai Shodown II as a powerful, bloodthirsty ronin, and appeared in the series as Haohmaru's official rival, replacing Ukyo Tachibana's role.
Personality[]
Genjuro is a brutal warrior who fights only to kill. He likes to control others and hates weak people. As such, he grew up knowing violence and deviance, and has made a living taking on the dirty work of eliminating his targets in order to receive just compensation.
He sometimes feels remorseful and shows mercy for his actions. He once let Haohmaru live at Oshizu's plea. However, he maintains his brutality and counters these examples of generosity with further brutality. Also, like in the past, he sometimes treats Haohmaru politely depending on the situation.
He is often referred to as a "devil/demon" by his victims, usually right before killing them. He also enjoys carnal pursuits and gambling, spending most of his days carousing in brothels and gambling dens.
