Father Ignatius is a posthumous character of inFamous: Festival of Blood.

Biography[]

Little is known about Igantius' life before becoming a priest. A few years after his ordination, he comforted Mary, a children's tutor, as she lay dying of smallpox. But Ignatius was not the only one who visited Mary on her deathbed. A vampire named Marco turns Mary into her vampire, and the two create chaos throughout Europe. Ignatius pursued her vampire couple, believing that there was still some good in Mary and that killing her Marco would turn her back into a human.

Not knowing that this rule applies only to the first night a human turns into a vampire, Ignatius murders Marco and drives a stake through the vampire's heart. Distraught at the death of her creator and her lover, Mary became furious and began hunting Ignatius, who fled to the New America.

Against Mary[]

For the next 37 years, Ignatius hid from Mary, always staying one step ahead of her. He eventually settled in New Marais and, while continuing his duties in his church, created barbed wire, a weapon to fight all demonic creatures, including vampires. Eventually, Mary and the legion of followers she created to search for the priest tracked Ignatius to New Marais. Realizing that Mary was responsible for the recent deaths in the city, Ignatius rallied an angry mob and went to the catacombs of New Marais to deal with Mary and her followers before discovering that she was responsible for the city. went before turning the inhabitants into her kind.

Fending off Mary's followers with barbed wire, Ignatius and her mob soon succeeded in capturing Mary. Ignatius tied his girlfriend to the gallows and burned her.

Ignatius's Death[]

After Father Ignatius died, he was buried with barbed wire in St. Charles Cemetery. Ignatius was considered a hero by many in New Marais for his actions, and the city's cathedral was named after him.

Years later, Mary was resurrected to stop Cole McGrath from murdering her. Ignatius' tomb was dug up by one of Mary's eldest sons who stole the barbed wire.
