
Emi Sendou is Aichi Sendou's younger sister who first appeared in Cardfight!! Vanguard as a major protagonist. In the morning, she gets Aichi ready for school and makes sure he comes home at her set time, so she is very much like a mother to him. She also has a tendency to overreact. She attends Miyaji Academy as an elementary school student.
Personality[]
Emi cares a lot about her brother and sometimes acts like a motherly figure to him. She has to wake him up frequently to go to school and is worried about his health. After seeing Vanguard transform her brother from a shy personality to a confident personality, she becomes less worried about her brother, but still attends most of her brother's games. to support her brother and watch over his health. She is unaware of Kamui's feelings for her and supports Nagisa's feelings for him. She supports everyone in her team Q4.
Due to her care for Aichi, she is not only mature for her age, but also as evidenced by her cardfighting abilities and encouraging Aichi to do his homework with her. She is an intelligent and serious student.

Season 1[]
She is introduced in episode 3 when she wakes Aichi up for breakfast. She tells Aichi to hurry to school. When she got downstairs, she noticed that Aichi was already at the door and headed to school. She was surprised and her mother told her that Aichi came home from school much later than usual. She points out that Aichi may have finally found a hobby he enjoys. Emi followed him for a bit before Mai came over to say hello. Later, on her way home from school, she remembered her mother saying something about the hobby Aichi had picked up. Later, she visited her brother's school, but she noticed that it was different from her own school. She hid behind the gate when her brother came out and she noticed when two other students started talking to Aichi. She couldn't hear what they were saying, but from what she saw, she felt that they were harassing her brother. She then followed her brother and the "bad" students to Card Capital. She was surprised when she entered the store. Shinemon Nitta appears from behind her, surprising her as she welcomes him into her shop. He then notices her looking at the table and explains to her that what they are looking at is a very popular new card game called "Cardfight Vanguard". She then noticed Aichi at one of the tables and noticed a change in her brother that she had never seen before. As Aichi fights Morikawa, Shinemon explains the rules of Vanguard. When she saw Aichi beat Morikawa, she noticed how confident he was in this play. Then she asked them to play again.
In episode 5, she appears again only to bring Aichi back from Card Capital. She then shows up one last time and yells at Aichi that she was in the store again.
In episode 11, she brought a lunch box for Aichi and his friends to eat. She then stayed to watch Aichi and Kamui's match in episodes 12 and 13.
In episode 25, he competed against her with a trial deck and helped bring back happy memories of her childhood to Misaki. Emi tells Misaki that it was fun to play this game, and Misaki remembers her mother and father's smiles, as well as herself. At the national tournament, she accompanied Team Q4 to their battles and cheered them on from the stands. She then stayed with Aichi while he used her powers to recover during the match. She spent the rest of the tournament rooting for Team Q4's victory.
In episodes 34 and 35, she joins Team Q4 to train with Caesar. She cosplays as Team Overthrow's Princess Maiden in episode 37. She uses a Bermuda Triangle deck.
In episodes 51 and 52, Emi participated in the Card Capital tournament. She used her Bermuda Triangle deck throughout the tournament and won in the junior division.
