Eirin Yagokoro is is a character from Touhou Project. She's one of the antagonists that appears of Imperishable Night and the supporting protagonist of Legacy of Lunatic Kingdom. She is a medical genius from the moon and she can even create the Hourai Elixir with the help of Kaguya's power to manipulate eternity. Rather than bring her back to the moon, she chooses to remain on Earth and dedicate herself to Kaguya Houraisan, living her life in exile in Gensokyo. She is a very well-known figure on the moon, having not only contributed to the creation of the Lunar society along with Lord Tsukuyomi, but also being the Lunar society's leading medical scientist and the person in charge of the Lunar messengers to Earth.
Appearance[]
Eirin has dark gray eyes, long silver hair, a large braid down her back, and a strange bow and arrow. Her clothes are red and blue with constellation patterns. She also wears something like a nurse's cap.
Trigrams line the hem of Eirin's clothes. These appear to be the complete set of hexagrams used in Feng Shui and match the set of hexagrams of Bagua.
Personality[]
Eirin is a mysterious figure shrouded in many mysteries, and her answers to her mysteries are incoherent. She's basically a pretty fun person, dedicated to serving her ally and master, Kaguya, but she doesn't suffer fools willingly, and her incredibly high intelligence means she's not sharp enough. You can sometimes seem conceited, impatient, and condescending towards people. Follow her instructions immediately. However, perhaps because she does not live with humans, she lacks common sense.

Eirin can create all kinds of medicines, from common cold medicine to dream-manipulating medicine. Yuyuko's reaction and further narration establish that this refers to Eirin being made immortal by the Hourai Elixir.

In addition to her medical knowledge, Eirin seems to be skilled in a variety of magic. For example, in Imperishable Night, she sealed off the entire Earth, making it impossible for anyone to reach it or leave it. In addition, she was able to replace the real moon with a fake one and mislead the heroines with illusions. According to herself, this is "hardly" her most powerful spell.
