Drole, known as Drole the Patience is one of the supporting antagonists-turned-one of the supporting characters in the anime/manga series The Seven Deadly Sins. According to the Ten Commandments, Drole is recognized as the founder, former king, and god of the Giant Clan. but eventually seceded and became affiliated with the previous clan.

Appearance[]

Drole is a giant giant that surpasses other giants such as Diane and Matrona. His skin is light blue, and he has four arms, each pair in its normal position with an armband. Wearing a colored bag. He also has brown hair. He is missing his left eye, reduced to only scar tissue covering his eye socket. This feature is usually covered by his bangs. When he was part of the Ten Commandments, his demon mark was on his buttocks.

When Drole was released from the Coffin of Eternal Darkness, his entire body sat incredibly malnourished, but over time, after absorbing enough magical power, he gradually recovered to full strength. He regained strength and correct posture.

Personality[]

Drole has a gentle personality and rarely speaks, but when he does, he speaks politely. He believes in fate and appears to put everything he has into battle. Drole, a giant, has a very high pride as a warrior, and giants have stated that it would be a shame to run away for any reason during battle. He proves his adherence to this principle by choosing to uphold the Ten Commandments, and is shocked that Diane chose to flee instead during the trial.

Seeing that Diane's love made her stronger than most giants valued for their combat prowess, Drole ultimately realized that he was wrong in the way he ruled the giant clan and made them mere warriors. He then realized that choosing between victory or death in battle was actually cowardly in itself, as the giants under his control did not have the courage to withdraw if necessary. Because of this, he believed that Diane would be able to bring the Giant clan back to prosperity, so he chose to become her shield and appointed her the new Giant Queen.

Despite his stoic demeanor, Drole still has a humorous side, as shown when he burst out laughing at Gloxinia's impersonation of Meliodas.

Biography[]

According to the Ten Commandments, Drole was a highly revered ancestor of the Giant race who developed a sacred dance with a deep connection to nature and the earth. From an early age, Drole was isolated from his clan due to his unusual size, mysterious eyes, four arms, and blue skin. Despite this, the Giant clan values strength above all else, so they celebrate Drole as the Giant King. He proved himself to be the strongest warrior of all. This humiliation leads to him becoming an ally of the Mazoku andas one of the Ten Commandments, becoming a demon himself. After he was defeated in the Ancient War against four other races, he was finally sealed by the Goddess Clan along with the rest of the Demon Clan.

Despite about 3,000 years ago, Zeldris telepathically summons the other members of the Ten Commandments without receiving a response, Gloxinia is the only one who responds, and both he and Drole realize their bad decisions and decide to return with their respective clans. Disappointed by his determination, Zeldris removes the demonic marks from Drole and Gloxinia, freeing them from the Ten Commandments. Drole asks Gloxinia to make sure her mark is gone. This is confirmed by his eyes no longer being black. He is then seen with Gloxinia to assist the Seven Deadly Sins in their fight against Chandler. Successfully trapped Chandler inside the Ko-ju Orudora. When King and Diane tried to assist them in battle, Gloxinia restrained them, stating that neither had enough magical power left to fight. She says she must become the leader of the Giant Clan because the ways of the Giants are placed above the savage powers of the Giants and can lead them better than herself. After this, Gloxinia sends King and Diane back to the Boar Hat in flight. When Chandler is finally freed, Gloxinia and Drole claim that they are no longer kings or members of the Ten Commandments, but merely fairies and giants. In his final moments, Drole is happy to see Meliodas and Elizabeth again and hopes that their suffering will be rewarded.
