Diana Burnwood % 28HITMAN 2% 29

Diana Penelope Burnwood is the deuteragonist and the anti-heroine in the Hitman series. As one of the former "handlers" for the International Contract Agency, she provided Agent 47 with clients, targets and information. She went freelance alongside 47 after the two destroyed Providence and 47 exposed the ICA to the world. The two now run a murder-for-hire service together, with no ties to the ICA.

Appearance[]

She was known to be slender and dark-haired; however, her training with the ICA has given her the skill of disguise, most notably in the change in her hair color throughout the various games. More recent information has shown her to be 175 cm tall, with red hair and brown eyes, and a slender, athletic build. Her face is described as having a high forehead and somewhat small eyes, but still a straight nose, high cheekbones, and sexy lips. A blurred glimpse of her face was seen at the end of Hitman: Blood Money, and viewers were finally able to get a clear look at her face in Hitman: Absolution. Players have been able to see multiple clear shots of Diana in Hitman, revealing that her eyes are blue instead of brown, her hair is shorter, and she has a more refined demeanor.

Personality[]

From an early age, Diana was seen as socially mobile, meaning she understood that the world around her was not representative of the real world. However, she retained the tact and poise to largely sublimate this realization, meaning she was more aware of what was going on around her than others, and apparently more aware than she showed. During her initial recruitment, Diana displayed a superior intelligence, scoring well above 90% on the ICA's BHL/A test. In fact, she scored 97%, greatly impressing her superiors. However, it has been noted that, like many who fall into this "above average" category, she suffered from occasional lack of confidence.

According to her handler and mentor, Benjamin Travis, she was a quintessential aristocrat, raised as a baronet of the Beaconsfield estate in Buckinghamshire, England. This upbringing gave her the habits, tastes, prejudices and other personality traits of her peers. Her mentor described this as "the first-rate mind that resides in the brains of the upper classes."

Diana is an enigmatic manipulator, able to convince anyone of her ideas while still hiding her true motives from everyone - her most notable example being when she tricked both Cayne and Edwards into believing she was 47's enemy, putting him in the perfect position to carry out an assassination that he would not have been able to do on his own.
