The sword represents knowledge and power, and Fudo Myoo binds evil with a rope on his left hand. Fudo Myoo is surrounded by flames representing purification. In esoteric Buddhism, there is a purifying fire ritual that destroys the negative energies that this deity invokes. The dragon surrounding the sword recalls Kiryu's guidance to Daigo over the years.
Personality[]
As the son of the infamous Sohei Dojima, Daigo knew of his father's ruthlessness and cruelty in the Tojo Clan, and sought to avoid the same fate as his father in creating a new ruthless successor to the chairman. He has become a passive chairman for the Tojo Clan, a position his father coveted. In his youth, he had little involvement with the Tojo Clan and became friends with Shinada, though he never revealed his ties to the yakuza. Appearing for the first time as an adult in the second game, he is somewhat impulsive, as evidenced when recounting his imprisonment after falling into a trap set by Ryuji Goda, as well as many scenes throughout the game. His immature side as president shows up several times. During the events of Yakuza 3, he refuses to accept land development plans in Okinawa, leading to an assassination attempt on his life. In Yakuza 4, Munakata's true plan was to eliminate the Tojo Clan, so his lack of authority allows Ueno Seiwa Clan to execute his terms wildly, putting Tojo in grave danger. It's one of the reasons he was able to do it.
Daigo also prefers to deal with other factions on an equal footing, seeking treaties of equal duration even if they are inferior in size to his own. Such factions included the Yamagasa and Ueno Seiwa Clan, and these clans were treated equally under the terms of these treaties for paying their share to the Tojo. He draws this from his early experiences with Kiryu who taught him that being the head of a household meant more than using money and names to acquire allies. That is what shaped Daigo into the person he is today.

In 1993, when Kamuro West's baseball team was in fourth grade, they faced rival Kamuro Technical High School in the finals of the National High School Baseball Championship. KTH students frequently harassed and bullied KWH players in an attempt to discourage them from competing in the finals, but not a single student has been able to prove it to faculty at either school. did. Daigo is determined to take over his family business, and he decides to help out at the high school, even if it means sacrificing himself.
A week before the finals, he got into a fight with the KTH students who were harassing his classmates and knocked them all out, sending several to the hospital. The stunt got him expelled and sent to a juvenile detention center, but it allowed his school team to play games without fear of being harmed by KTH students.
