Paragon

Paragons are a type of hero that is considered the "ultimate" champion of concepts such as truth, justice, and/or honor. Paragons are any hero who proudly epitomizes their archetype, often to the point of being cliché, but proud of it. In another note, this type of hero serves as a positive influence as they are characters who live to help others, but in a way that shows those people how to help themselves. Their ultimate goal is that one day, when the people need a hero, they can be the heroes themselves.

This was very popular in the Golden Age of comics and consisted of heroes powerful enough to move worlds and combat threats of great power. However, as tastes changed overtime, the Paragon archetype grew into disuse in favor of more flawed anti-heroes and vigilantes, though Paragons are still popular in some settings
