“ | [Sighs] That's just so insensitive. You know ghosts can't eat. [Eats a lump of food, it falls through her body back onto the plate; she sighs] Watching you two at lunchtime makes my afterlife a misery. | „ |
~ Carrie in "The Ghost." |
Carrie Krueger is a supporting character in The Amazing World of Gumball series. She's a ghost at Elmore Junior High and the girlfriend of Darwin Watterson.
She is voiced by Jessica McDonald.
Appearance[]
She is a translucent ghost with an ovular face, a small torso and arms, and a ghostly tail in place of any legs. Her long fringe always covers one of its eyes, although it is not always the same eye. Her face is simplistic, made up of only two dots and a line for her eyes and mouth, respectively. She wears a skull-shaped bow tie.
From the second season onwards, she looks a little smaller and her eyes are bigger.
Personality[]
Carrie exhibits straights of stereotypical 'emo' girls such as a shy demeanor and occasionally depressed attitude. She claims to enjoy horror movies and everything to do with the dark and is also horrified by exaggeratedly cute or cheerful displays. She is shown to be highly wise and knowledgeable in the supernatural, often helping others confront paranormal situations. She is also very quite snarky and sarcastic as shown on multiple occasions, being frustrated with the antics of other characters.
However, she often shows a sweeter, more sentimental side, such as when she mistakenly ends up watching a movie about a pony and admits to having found it touching, or in "The Scam," when she was willing to go away with Gargaroth forever to the underworld if it meant saving all her friends. She is also very social, as she is seen repeatedly talking and/or interacting with other characters, and also routinely enjoys going on dates with her boyfriend, Darwin.
Abilities[]
As a supernatural ghost, Carrie can possess people using her body, in which the victim will exhibit a zombie-like appearance. However, the victim is able to retain some degree of control.
Carrie can phase through objects, turn invisible, and teleport. She can also use magic spells by speaking in Latin. She is also skilled at making potions. Just like William, she can move objects telekinetically, and also open up portals.
She can be summoned by having her name called multiple times in a row.
