Byte and Barq, also known by the alias of The Clockwork Cops, is one of the playable heroes in the 2017 Nintendo Switch video game ARMS.

Appearance[]

Byte is a humanoid robot with expandable ARMS that resembles a clockwork spring. He carries a large wind-up key on his shoulder. Although he does not appear to be wearing any clothes, his design is reminiscent of a police uniform, and his "hat" has a badge.

Byte's partner dog robot Barq is shaped like a dog's head attached to one of his wheels. He wears sunglasses and has a beacon light above his head, similar to Byte. These lights will flash when the arms of Byte & Barq are charging.

Biography[]

Byte and Barq are a pair of beach patrol robots from Buster Beach. According to the main text of ARMS Lab Confidential 13's gallery, normally they are not allowed to participate in the Grand Prix in pairs, but they were allowed to participate because they appeared combined with Barq, who was pretending to be the head of a part-time job, during the inspection. It is said that . Bait and Burke were unique among "second generation" fighters, and even after they were discovered to be a pair, they were so popular that they were able to fight against each other.

Abilities[]

During combat, the robot Bite has been known to stand on top of the dog Bark before jumping on his opponent. Burke also has a unique punch attack. As they charge forward, Byte and Burke combine their bodies to deliver an even more powerful two-fisted punch. Their home stage is Buster Beach.

Their default Arms are Seekie, Cracker and Bubb.
