Bobby Santiago is a supporting character of Nickelodeon's The Loud House franchise and one of the two deuteragonists (alongside Sid Chang) in the spin-off series The Casagrandes. He is also one of the tritagonists of the 2024 Netflix film The Casagrandes Movie. He is Lori's boyfriend and Ronnie Anne's older brother.
He is voiced by Carlos Pena-Vega. In the live-action series, he was portrayed by Matt Van Smith in A Loud House Christmas and currently Damian Alonso.
Biography[]
The Loud House[]
Bobby is Lori's boyfriend who likes texting and hanging out with her. He has many jobs, such as pizza delivery boy, a pool lifeguard, a mall security guard and a grocery stock boy. He used to live at Royal Woods and attends high school throughout the first season to the first half of second season. As of the episode "The Loudest Mission: Relative Chaos", Bobby, Ronnie Anne and Maria now moved out to Great Lakes City to live with their relatives, the Casagrandes, and he works at the mercado which it means they can visit Lori and her family at Royal Woods once in a while.
The Casagrandes[]
In the spin-off series, Bobby still works at the Mercado and talks to Lori on his phone when she calls him. In "This Bird Has Flown", he is furious at Sergio for winning employee of the month and told him to fly away and never come back, but the next day, Bobby feels terrible for hurting Sergio’s feelings and later confesses his family of his actions just before Sergio returns. As of the episode "Never Friending Story", Bobby becomes Par's best friend, but he is afraid of his daredevil ways.
In the second season, Bobby dresses up as El Falcon in "Dynamic Do Over" as he attempts to convince Carl and successfully defeats the burglar. He visits Lori at Fairway University in "Tee'd Off" which she already moved from Royal Woods, but he gets jealous of Ewan and decides to win her back until he realizes that Lori wasn’t leave him for Ewan. In "Maybe-Sitter", Bobby and Carlota are taking turns to babysit the kids and going to the party, but later the two feel bad for leaving the kids alone and decides to return home by cleaning up the mess before their parents come back.
In the third season, Bobby and Ronnie Anne attempts to get their parents, Maria and Arturo, back together in "Date with Destiny", but he and Ronnie Anne realizes that their parents are still love each other which Ernesto's fortune doesn't come true. He and Ronnie Anne work together to expose Beto's evil nature in "Alpaca Lies", followed by in "Flock This Way" where he helps Ronnie Anne and their cousins save Sergio from David. As of the episode "Movers and Fakers", Bobby moves to Jean-Phiippe's apartment since he moved out to Paris.
Personality[]
Bobby is a kind, understanding and forgiving person who likes to have fun and hanging out with his friends, mostly his girlfriend, Lori. He has a relaxed and carefree attitude and sometimes can be unlucky. While beloving Lori, Bobby plans to marry her and become the household of Loud after she graduate her college.
He is a bit silly, as shown in "Undie Pressure" where he was running late to visit Lori at her house due to him waiting for a chicken to cross the road. He also jeopardized Luna's attempt to free Lincoln and Clyde from jail in "For Bros About to Rock" and his absent-minded nature comes with negatives, even he and Lincoln hanging out with each other more in "A Fair to Remember" where he gets distracted and forgets all about Lori.
He has many jobs to make money or just to impress Lori, like in "Cereal Offender" where he works at the supermarket and tells his manager that he knows the Loud kids, followed by in "Bo Bo Business" as he briefly works at Hong's market.
Appearance[]
Bobby has tan skin and black hair with a tuft combed upwards. He wears blue jeans, brown shoes with multiple white stripes, a black belt with a gold buckle and a cream-colored t-shirt under a green unbuttoned shirt.
His original design is different to its current design. In this one that he has a more urban outfit, including a bonnet covering his eyes and headset. He is also going to have freckles on his cheeks and a more scruffy hair.
Trivia[]
- Bobby made his first on-screen appearance in "Undie Pressure”, but he can be heard through Lori's phone as a voice message in "Get the Message".
- He is the only member of his family to appear in the live-action series.
