Applejack is a tom-boyishly beautiful orphaned orange earth pony mare and one of the main characters of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. She lives at Sweet Apple Acres with her paternal grandmother Granny Smith, big brother Big Macintosh and adorable and pretty little sister Apple Bloom. She wields lasso as her signature weapon.
Applejack is the close friend of Eleanor Miller, Theodore "Theo" Seville's girlfriend. Unlike Eleanor Miller, Applejack is shown to possess a number of tough, tomboyish character traits; she is skilled at Muay Thai and is a rodeo champion. She is a close friend with Eleanor Miller's boyfriend Theodore Seville, though she sometimes gets annoyed by him.
