Albert James Moriarty is a major protagonist and a major antagonist in the 2016 manga series Moriarty the Patriot, which was adapted into an anime in 2020. Earl Moriarty's eldest son, Albert, always desired perfection and was disgusted by the corruption in the world around him and the inequality he faced. Inspired by an intelligent boy's speech about ridding society of evil aristocrats, Albert adopts the boy as his foster brother William James Moriarty, and does the same for William's younger brother, Louis James Moriarty. Secretly murdering the rest of the Moriarty family, Albert uses his authority as earl to further William's policies for an equal England. He is based on James Moriarty, Sherlock Holmes' famous nemesis, and in this world is the collective identity that Albert and his two brothers form in order to become crime lords.

Appearance[]

Albert is rather tall at 188 cm (6 ft 2 in), with fair skin and a thin build. His hair is medium brown with a side parted haircut, leaving short bangs on either side. Plus, he has stripes. His hair reaches the back of his neck, his eyes are a distinctive deep emerald color, and he is also seen wearing a black top hat.

He wears a dark gray three-piece suit with a lime green tie and sometimes a gold pocket watch.

He seems to have inherited most of his appearance from his father, including green eyes, brown hair, and even a general hairstyle, and bears little resemblance to his mother. His younger brother, William, resembles his mother and therefore has little in common with Albert in overall appearance, although the two brothers share a similar facial structure. .

After Albert's three-year timeskip, he undergoes one of the most significant physical changes among the main characters. The only noticeable difference is that his hair is a little longer, with the strands at his back reaching just above his shoulders.

In his childhood, he wore a navy blue three-piece suit with beige around the folds of his collar and sleeves. He wore a dark teal bow tie on his lapel and a walnut brown waistcoat under his suit jacket.

Personality[]

Albert is a kind-hearted aristocrat, but he treats commoners poorly and begins to hate his family and fellow aristocrats, seeing them as inferior to himself. While many of the aristocrats in the story are portrayed as evil, Albert was the opposite, and since childhood he visited the local orphanage every week and helped the children living there. He has a loyal attitude towards his companions and is willing to help others whenever they most desire.

Despite his good-natured nature, he takes a passive-aggressive attitude towards bad nobles, even resorting to violence when necessary. As a result, he ended up murdering his own family, who treated him with contempt for the common people. they are rude.

Albert cares about William and Louis, even though they are not blood brothers. He fully supports and supports William's plan to abolish the class system to help the poor. When the two met, he was inspired by William's charismatic speeches and ideals.

Other than that, Albert has quite a mysterious and charming aura that clearly draws others in. It is often said how nobles send him invitations to parties, and even after he invites women are seen throwing themselves at him, enhancing his noble status.

History[]

Albert Moriarty was a kind nobleman who frequently visited local orphanages to help children. One day, during his usual trip, he discovered that an orphan boy, later known as Moriarty, was with his younger brother Louis. Noticing a coincidence between the number of sudden deaths and Moriarty's involvement, Albert seeks out Moriarty and later learns about the future of Moriarty's goal of making everyone in England equal. Always hating his family and fellow nobles who treat commoners so rudely, he promises him all of his own power and status and adopts him and Louis to achieve his goals together. I welcomed you.

The three then hatch a plan to kill the Moriarty family and burn down the house to make it look like an accident. As the only survivor, Albert states that the orphans are his biological brothers, William and Louis. The orphan boy often went out on errands, during which time he used William's name, and the real William rarely appeared in public, making it easy for people to believe that the orphan boy was the real William.

Years later, Albert continues to help William achieve his goals. William's carefully laid plans led them to punish the evil wealthy by making it look like a natural death or incident.
