Achilles Davenport is the major deuteragonist and the main antagonist of the Assassin’s Creed franchise, he was the leader of the Colonial Brotherhood of Assassins from 1746 to 1763. Of Caribbean and British descent, Achilles' tenure as leader of the American Assassins was turbulent despite their promising start. His choices during the Seven Years' War had disastrous consequences, leading to Shay Cormac's defection and the collapse of the Brotherhood.
After a major attack on the Assassins by the Colonial Rite of the Templar Order in 1763, the Colonial Brotherhood collapsed and disbanded. Achilles abandoned the Assassin cause and spent the next six years living alone in a mansion until he met the young Ratonhnhaké:ton, who began training at the boy's command. Achilles spent the last years of his life mentoring Ratonhnhaké:ton, which led to his pupil's important role in the American Revolution and the extermination of the Colonial Templar.
